Henrik takes on the whole team by himself tonight.

3-0 Canucks.

Henrik all 3 goals.

I actually have great faith for Friday's game. I think the team will get it's game legs under them by game 10 or 11 and then we'll see the real Canucks.

I forgot all about that. Puts the first round series into perspective, doesn't it?

The biggest concern for me as far as lacklustre performers go right now is Hamhuis and Bieksa. They've been our top dependable pairing for two years now, and it seems like when they're off, the whole team is off. We need them to be better. Bieksa's certainly been getting angry, which is a start...

Schroeder came so painfully close to his first goal last night. Hopefully he can pot one in this game.

Chris (Higgins) needs to have a good game. I don't think he's been playing bad it's jst that he's not making offensive things Happen. but I think he needs to pop in that first one and get the ball rolling.
Talking to him he's happy with his game mentally and physically he just knows he has to produce.

For sure. He's not off to a fast start like last year, but that's expected. Can always count on him to give what he's got in the tank during a game. Definitely a player I would love to see back next year, but if he is as good as he was last year I'm not sure it can work out. He's got my unconditional support though. Love him as a player!

Higgins has been his usual beastly self along the boards, and he's been solid defensively. Some offense would be nice, but at least his game hasn't been as outright awful as some of the other guys on the team.

Pretty sure he was a stutterer ... great hockey player.

And the Canucks were pretty unlucky against the sharks ... what did they have, 5 posts?

Yes, the Canucks were unlucky but Hockey is a game that has a greater percentage of luck involved than most. The canucks were probably just as lucky in their 5-0 win against Anaheim as they were unlucky in their 4-1 loss to San Jose. Really both games were fairly evenly played overall.

I just wish the canucks would give a 60 minute effort. The first 5-10 minutes of the first period in San Jose were entirely unacceptable. With seemingly more parity in the league this season than ever, the canucks can not expect to play 50 minutes a night and win.

5 at least - very frustrating. The game as a whole was very frustrating - almost the polar opposite of how gratifying the game against the Ducks was.

Gotta be honest with my intentions, and that goes doubly so with regards to the Los Angeles Kings.

Not sure if CDC has this right, but apparently Luongo and Quick truly went tit-for-tat in the season series last year - each was 2-2-0 in the season series, each had 1.73 GAA, and each had .941 SVP. Luongo had one shutout, though.

Wowza.

I don't know if this made it onto the TV broadcast, but after Burrows got knocked down by Richards, he scooped some snow onto his stick and pointed it at Richards (cocaine).

I'm positive Botchford tweeted that and wrote an article about it. I don't know if he had a video of Burrows doing it though.

It'll be Hendrix-themed.

(though really, I have a ton of ideas for Kings GDTs. My favourite involves Randy Newman waking up on the wrong side of the bed)

(and all of them involve stealing from the Kings board because I am an uncreative hack and not a clever satirist, haw haw)
