My buddy got tickets to a Preds/Yotes playoff game last year for $15. Not bad eh?

And btw I know the franchise movements are always a sensitive issue around here so I try to not poke fun too much. But....still....

they deserve all the poking they get. teams like phoenix are why untraditional markets get a bad name. they honestly should have been moved elsewhere a long tine ago.

12,420 average attendance from last year...yikes. When we have 4.2K more people on average, you know it's rough.

Oh well, their passionate fans are no less passionate than any other fans. And I'm going to avoid any cheap shots that anger the Hockey Gods. This team knocked us out of the playoffs, remember.

If by 'team', you mean 'Mike Smith', then yeah that's true. That being said I have no idea why we tend to struggle against them. Sully will probably get another hat trick.

we struggle because they play a tight defensive game with minimal mistakes. They are coached better TBH. Or at the very least had a better game plan and executed it better than us. Not to say we didnt have our chances but we didnt convert making those chances worthless. Literally.

We have their number from last year, Id bet we come out flying like we did against minnesota.

Is this the first time playing Sully since he left? Do we see him at home this year?

I don't think we played him last season, but he may have been hurt if we did, and Phoenix comes to town on Feb. 14 and March 28

Awesome, thanks. Looking forward to this one, Smith's injured so hopefully we can score and not their back-up look Vezina worthy.

Didn't he play in the game at pitt? I know for sure he had the idea for his new team to wear the "Belak 3" on their helmets just like the PREDS did; I'll never forget how classy and thoughtful that move was from #26. Sully will ALWAYS be a PRED!!!

Oh yeah I forgot about that because the game at Pittsburgh last year being the return of Radulov so that's all I remembered, but yeah that was awesome.

We score first then give up the tie goal a minute later in the 3rd period. OT is scoreless. You know the rest.

Yotes - 2
Preds - 1

SO Loss

Suddenly I have a great feeling about this game... I had spent the last two days thinking that this one wouldn't start until 9:00 and I wouldn't get to watch any of it, then start thinking about time zones, realize that the game is at 8:00 and my night got a lot better!

I really need to stop printing the Preds schedule in CT. Rushed to get the laptop setup for the game after driving five hours for work only to realize it's a 9 ET game, not 8.
