Actually they said this morning Alfie may be good to go, seriously I'd try Zibanejad with Michalek and Spezza, brings speed like Greening, maybe a bit less strenght but still has lots of strenght but he is a pure shooter and has more skills
IF he's here to play

Michalek-Spezza-Zibanejad
Latendresse-Turris-Silfverberg
Greening-Smith-Neil
Job-Regin-Condra

That's if Alfie can't play

I remember them saying Lats wasn't going to play until it was revealed Alfy couldn't. Maybe they want to give both a rest?

i think this is just a callup to give him some practice time, as the ahl is on a break. he hasn't played a lot of hockey in the last 2 months.

i reckon he only draws in if he impresses during practice and/or more injuries.

3 goals 1 assist in 7 games since coming back from illness/injury, playing top minutes and the team is 5-2-0 since he came back. We'll see how he does. I see him as our own MPS kind of player so I think it will take him some time before he becomes an NHL regular.

Alright, so no Mika Zibanejad in the lineup tomorrow night vs. #Caps according to Paul MacLean via @Syl_St_Laurent. #Sens

I assume Benoit will keep playing.

Oh Wiercioch, what did you do to deserve the bench...

I think they are more comfortable with Beniot because of his experience, although all at the AHL level. And Beniot has played with Boro and Wier.

Wiercioich certainly impressed me in the games he played more so then Beniot who to me lacks hockey sense.

Benoit finally hit the net last game which made me smile.

Yes bank passes are great...when they end up on your team's stick.

Garrioch says Maclean didn't rule out Z playing and Murray expects him to play.

Just like Lats wasn't suppose to play last night ... we never know IMO

Coach Paul MacLean didn't rule out Zibanejad playing. GM Bryan Murray says he expects him to play. Expect Zibanejad to play. #Sens

From Garrioch

And so he can make bank for a couple days- as payoff for putting the kibosh on the WJCs...

He gets knocked off pucks like a little girl? Looks lost in his own zone? Wiercioch has the abilities, but he's still a loooong way off IMO. Benoit on the other hand is excellent positionally, seems to block a ton of shots and has excellent offensive upside.

Weircoich played fine, MacLean needs to keep both PW and Boro game ready, so they will platoon for now.

Benoit has been steady, which should be expected from a 29 year old. He also plays on the right side unlike both PW and Boro so he is safe for now.

When Lundin is ready to play then Benoit may sit and one of PW or Boro will head back to Bingo.

Most players in the NHL can handle the puck better than Greening. That's not really saying much.
