Observations you've made watching other teams broadcasts on center ice
There are tons of them for me, but just to name a few off the top of my head to start things off:
-I still hate Billy Jaffe. The guy was in Chicago for a long time on the radio and I never liked him, nothing has changed. He did the intermission report for Boston with two other guys and they couldn't get a word in edge wise at all. And all Jaffe was saying was the obvious that everyone knew.
-The Canadian teams are INSANE with all of the talk of trade rumors and trade ideas, especially so early in the season. It's like half the roster of every team is on the block, lol.
-Well, the obvious, southern teams have it made. Saw on the Tampa game against the Sens that Tampa was offering a $39 all inclusive ticket where you could eat as much as you wanted from the concessions all game. Many fans were happily chowing down on hot dogs and nachos.
-I am surprised how much players in some cities are featured in commercials about local businesses, especially players that aren't very recognizable.

- Lightning interviewed Darren Puppa during the 1st intermission yesterday and I think he was drunk. Was also very impressed by the play-by-play guy for the Bolts
-Sportsnet East guys (not sure if they use the same guys for all Sportsnets) are boring as hell and should switch to golf.
-No one in the league is as crazy as Chico Resch
-Every time I watch I'm envious of American fast food
People who think Rick Jeanneret are bad (I am not one of those people) have clearly never heard Kevin Sylvester.
He's a good studio host but doesn't have any redeeming qualities when it comes to commentating. He's a Steigerwald caliber homer, except Steigerwald can actually do a decent job of play by play when he stops drooling over "Sid and Geno" and just calls the action. Sylvester can't even do that.
American commercials are jokes. The ones for the Panthers are just so wrong. ARE YOU SCARED? DO YOU FEEL SAFE IN YOUR OWN HOME? NO? GET A GUN AND KILL INTRUDERS! lol wtf!
I don't know what it is about the Penguins announcers but they bug the **** out of me.
I think it's because they refer to a few of their players with their nickname in broadcasts.. "Nice moves by Gino!" .. "Great save by Flower!"
I don't know if any other broadcast team does the same thing but as crazy as Jack Edwards is, I don't think I've ever heard him say "Seids dumps the puck in" or "Horts in all alone!" etc etc..
Not a big deal but still rubbed me the wrong way, haha
I have noticed how often announcers of the opposing team get either players on the Preds names wrong or confuse them with other players ex. calling Wilson, Spaling or butchering Erat's name.
The American crowds are definetely fatter than the Canadian crowds.
I noticed that watching the AHL this year. The people in Oklahoma City need to drop the fork in a bad way. There were some 8 or 9 year olds at those games that had a few pounds on me.
I really enjoy the canadian broadcasts. I just got Center Ice this year in my place so I never had much of a chance, it seems like they really tone down the crowd audio though.

Haha I don't blame you. I remember this summer I was in Leamington and went to McDonalds and they wanted like $4.50 for a McChicken! I just laughed and walked away
I enjoy the Sharks broadcast, but I always have a chuckle when last year Drew stated that if were choosing the all-star teams, Logan Couture would be the the first player he would select. The last player actually selected - Logan Couture!
