It's going to be a long year for those who think Cullen is going to get traded (or want to see him traded). He's here for the duration of his deal; for better or worse.

There's always the option of making him the daily healthy scratch.....

I think he's tradeable. Him back to Carolina makes a lot of sense. Or like I said, to the Rangers.
However, the question is whether Fletcher wants to lose face like that. Cullen has been pretty much a terrible free agent signing. But he's apparently good in the lockerroom and the Minnesota doesn't want to lose the credit it's built on "bringing players home."
Cause Minnesota needs to use every advantage it can when it comes to bringing in free agents (as we saw with Parise and Suter).

Or a 4th line center.
Or at least maybe try Brodziak as Granlund's wing and move Cullen back to 3rd line center. Granlund could use a big-body who is strong in corners and on the boards like Brodziak.

I would rather see Brodz center the 2nd line and move MG to wing.
I'm sold on Granlund's ability, but I think he needs to be moved to the wing, at least for the time being. He's getting pushed around too much, and moving to the wing should hopefully alleviate some of the pressure he is facing.
I think it is possible for Cullen to be traded to the right team. With the opening in NY, it might be a reasonable opportunity. Not many players would pass up a chance to go to one of the strongest teams in the league and at the same time help their current team.
Fletch has shown a willingness to swallow his pride and do what is necessary to improve the team.
Cullen is not helping this team. At some level, he has to know that he might not be the right fit for the team's needs. He might truly be a good fit for the needs of NY, and the playstyle would suit him.

Honestly, I think Cullen would be worse in that role than Zenopka is.
Don't even care anymore if it hurts his feelings or makes him feel unwanted when Fletcher approaches him and asks him to waive his NTC, get rid of Cullen.

A few games sitting in the press box may convince Cullen its in his best interest to waive that NTC.
Okay, so aside from Russo mentioning it in his blog, were there any other Setoguchi trade rumors? They mentioned it on NBC and GS mentioned it on the FRB blog. Just wondering if there's meat to this thing.

I was wondering that myself.
And to the "trade Cullen" crowd - I'd welcome it, but it's wishful thinking.
