Jets pp is terrible. Playing pretty good but terrible pp.
Carks also nailed Kane.

Oilers will be in a better position, as they do have higher end offensive talent. But they do need to get their defense/goaltending into shape. And I do feel like they've bombed for a touch too long now.
That said, they will have FAR more trading assets and such. So eventually Oilers will turn out better off. But I don't think this year is their year. And they shouldn't have been as bad as they've been. Definitely not the rebuild I'd like. Yeah, I'd love getting all those players -- but I feel there is something sad about tanking so often and do that pathetically.

Oilers are the new Capitals. Mark my words. All O, average D and hesitant goaltending and no real depth.

I think they will get a goaltender. It's already a place FA are paying attention too it would seem.

Edmonton has so many offensively talented forwards, I'd be surprised if they don't make the playoffs.
But the biggest surprise for me this season is the dominant play of the San Jose Sharks. I can't say I saw that coming.

Don't be. Crappy defense and goaltending can screw a team over. If Dubnyk is solid I think they can make the playoffs, but so far he's been average/below average from what I've seen.

I'd actually bet more on the Oilers NOT making the playoffs, than making it.
So far, they've looked OK. But really, they have not played great on the defensive side of things.
I see Oilers making it in a year or two when the young guns come into their own.

I agree, Edmonton needs a quality goalie. Maybe they could inquire to L.A. about Jonathan Bernier.

Montreal - Boston
Subban for Hamilton and Caron would be a fair return. Hamilton looking good and Caron gives them something useful for the time required to him.

I wouldn't trade Hamilton for Subban straight up, I think Hamilton is the better player & teammate.

It's 5.75 over the life of the contract
Not 5.75 per year

east down 4-1 in the AHL all-star game. East started hometown bruins prospect svedberg (the game is in providence).
I think lehner should be in for the second, which starts right now.
edit: nvm, brust vs mcbackup right now.
mrazek and lehner will be in for the third.

lmao
mcbackup out of the net to save icing, puts it around the boards, and held up as he tries to get back to his net. West scores on an empty net, no penalty.

ok, lehner's on now. Starts the third down 5-4. Mrazek in for the west.
pretty funny looking at the goalies:
1.
Peters
Svedberg
2.
Brust (ex b-sen)
McBackup (ex sen)
3.
Mrazek (ex 67)
Lehner (current sen)
