Also possible Cole hang it up by then, freeing up 4.5 M.

Bourque will still be around.

P.K. getting 3.75 M in year 2 is a big thing for him. It means his QO for 2014-15 will be that.

But enough cap math.

He's baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!

EXACTLY man....thats why bergevins a genius...it wasnt about not wanting to pay pk 6 million now...just in a couple years when we have more space!

cant beleive this whole thing is OVER baby

dont think pk plays tomorrow tho

Subban making exactly half as much as Markov... For some reason I find that strangely fitting.

i agree. i heard nilan say that paciorettys had his surgery and that the incision was a minor one and that it couldve been a bigger one so its the best of the possible outcomes.

Like I said before, if the Habs get off to a good start, it kills Subban's bargaining power. If we got off to an 0-4 start, I see this going much differently.

Yes! Finally! Good job Bergevin convincing PK. And good on PK for being the bigger man. What a highway robbery of a deal.

Excellent signing for you guys! I was expecting PK to lower his demands and get a contract similar to MDZ and he did!

No, Bergevin still did a terrible job on this. He's lucky that Subban's attachment to the Habs outweighs his pride. This could have very easily gone very wrong.

Bergeron won this one. RFA again in two years? Great deal he'll get between 5 and 6 million in two year probably no surprise there.

Worked out for us. 3-1 record, no loss from the holdout, and a sweeeeeeet cap hit for 2 years with RFA rights retention and the potential for 10 years of Subban instead of a max 8. Lots of angst along the way, but a big win for the Habs in the end... as long as there are no hard feelings or other fallouts from it all.

Obviously PK is worth a lot more, but at the same time, VERRRRRRY obviously he is very committed to the Habs.

Hell yeah. And I hope he does. That means that he is showing progression.
