Wtf? Beleskey top line? That's overly retarded. Get back to 3rd line 4th line Beleskey. I will take Etem over you on the first line every day of the week.

Maybe I am underestimating it but I think you're overestimating it as well.

It would really depend on the mentality of the player you are talking about. I'm not familiar enough with Staubitz, but I know teams didn't give a rats ass of cheap shotting us when Parros was here. Unless you have an "enforcer" who isn't afraid to play dirty, then it isn't worth icing them IMO. Yapping at the player doesn't sway anyone from doing that (see Parros all of last year). it's nice to have a heavy weight in the lineup, but unless they are mean as **** or can play decent hockey (thorton), then they are irrelevant now and shouldn't be iced.

I think I would do it for ROR. What you think? Debating where we finish

My main thing is id want to avoid losing the 1st..... if we can trade a young player/prospect that we dont necessarily need and the islanders 2nd, id be more inclined to do that.

Like i said last time we were arguing, we have pretty good scouts and find a decent amount of steals in the draft as a team. Its a deep draft has a similar feel to the getzlaf/perry draft. And we dont know where were going to end up at this point to risk that first round pick. Plus im guessing colorado will match up to 4.5 idk if id want to go much higher then 4.5 for ROR(hes worth it imo) but we have bobby ryan and getz on big contracts too.

Would you give up Sbisa and Rakell for ROR and a draft pick in this draft

Maybe Palmieri and Rakell/Holland

If we try to get him, we will have a lot of centers so I am sure one will go back.

I can't see ROR being worth more than Holland/Rakell + Islanders 2nd.

Beleskey was not that bad on the top line prior to the injury. He did the dirty work and hustled. It was two years ago, then he got hurt. last year he was coming off the shoulder injury like Lydman.

He actually had 11 goals in his first NHL year - 60 games. You just see him now and see a 4th line fighter. He does have some skills and can play.

If that all it takes, I am all in. I will even give them our first rather than the second.

I think they want a top pairing D or top 6 coming back so all we can do is hope.

The issue with ROR is what he wants to be paid. Rumor is/was he wants in the neighborhood of $5M per. Do we want to pay him that much? I'm not so sure we do.

yes - I think I would. Although it would be at the expense of a few players next year or the year after that.

I absolutely would. I'd be all in on a Sbisa + DSP deal. RoR is the type of guy you win with. It would create a hole on D but that hole would be easier to fill than a 2C.

We're dreaming to get ROR for Rakell or holland and a 2nd. For one he's a dominant center. And for 2 he would likely cost us a full time roster player and a 1st..... Minimum

HELL yes I would! We have Vatanen in the corps and Lindholm. Sbisa can easily be replaced, the depth ROR brings can't!

He's a 2C, not a 1C. And he's no longer cost controlled.

5M is pretty much market rate for a good 2C. It would depend on how long he was willing to sign for into his UFA years.

I would want to see Vatanen or Lindholm stay healthy for 4 weeks at a go first, but I'd consider it, yes.

He's RFA in which Col owns his rights. Trading Holland arguably a roster player on most teams or Rakell and a 2nd won't land ROR who IS a roster player on most teams.

Go research what 2C's go for. It's not a top 6 and a 1st usually.

Who's top 6? Holland? Rakell? You have to be joking that they are a soluble solution for top 6 in most NHL clubs. This isn't just our team this is league wide we are basing this on.

I'm not saying either is. You're saying it would take a roster player and a 1st +. I'm telling you that's not the kind of return that 2C's usually get. Especially ones who are contract holdouts.

Well this is all speculative if he signs with us of course. If it was up in the air I wouldn't offer that.
But if he did agree to sign I think I would. I got a good feeling our first will be super late. Our teams just gelling and were pulling pts out of Winnik who has a career high of 11 goals. And is ranked top 15 pick ups in yahoo fantasy this month off the get go.

I think adding ROR for our first + is worth it.
