So some are complaining that we offered him too little?
Seriously?
I complain that Bergevin low balled our best young player into a hold out and signed him to a bridge deal that makes no sense. I haven't changed my mind. I was against the bridge deal from day #1. And I thought this should have been done before season started. I guarantee you that the 0.5M Bergevin won in this negotiation wasn't worth the hold out and bad blood. But people will understand this later.
thank the lord ****ing jesus christ...santa claus...the muffin man and my great ****ing grandmother.!!!!!!!!! thankyou!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:hand clap::hand clap::hand clap:

If PK asks and gets 5-6 million in his next deal. It's not because of bad blood. It's because he earned it.
Yeah, like Montreal media and fans have ever been reasonable regarding a player's cap hit and salary. PK gets signed to Doughty money, people will have a ****-fit within a year and want him traded for cap space.
Good deal for the habs though, as for relations between the team and Subban and long-term cap hit, we'll see.
I thought the whining was for the 10 threads arguing about who was right and who was wrong and how much was going to be paid and who he was going to be traded for.
Cmon man, be happy for the Habs.
On an aside, I really am going to miss those 10 PK Subban threads. Great times for sure.

I'll have to agree. Considering how badly this could have gone, and considering how much more the Habs could and most likely will be paying Subban in the future, I agree that this was a rather short sighted plan. Still, it's nice to have Subban back.

Let me just say Bergevin will make a good politician some day.
Good. PK looks like the type of guy to immediately put on his game face and put this all behind him ASAP.
Does anyone know how many total games PK and Markov have played together? Not necessarily on the same pairing, I just feel as though the number of games both have been healthy and in the lineup is below ten.
You make it sound like signing a top young player is a feat...
This should have been done months ago. And he should have been signed to a long term deal. But whatever, I'll let everyone rejoice over a RFA signing like this wasn't supposed to happen.
Let it go.
No raining on the parade.
Bergevin is satisfied. PK is satisfied since he signed the contract.

2 years, $5.75 million isn't what Subban believes he's worth to #Habs. But now he'll play, be a teammate & show club what he's got

One player agent on the Subban deal: "It's bizarre how low it is. Low term. Low dollars."
