Would have liked to watch the team a while longer without PK to see if they could keep up the momentum they have built. Not convinced this signing will help the 'team' but hope it works out for a great franchise.
That's just stupid.
PK is a top pairing Dman in the NHL, of course he will help this team. Why wouldn't he?? Oh, you believe he's this big evil 23yo kid??
We win more games with PK in the line up, than without. That's a fact, not an opinion.
His presence will give Markov more breathing room. You won't have to use him for 30min, which also decreases his chances of injury and fatigue.
His presence helps in ways you clearly do not comprehend.
So you would suggest to your player - take 4 million, even though you'll be worth 5-6 in two years?
I'm a Habs fans... But if I'm putting myself in the shoes of his agent, I would have told Subban not to sign the deal. In an free open market, he could have had 6-7+ M/season... I understand he's just an RFA with no arbitration rights, I don't think that means that Subban takes a bit more than 1/3 of his real market value on a two year deal.

What about Del Zotto who was a 1st rounder ? Del Zotto is better at O and PK better at D.
It was well-needed after getting 3 in 48, then rather than sleeping, staying up for the NJ game - which I am so happy I did. That then pumped me up so much that I wanted to watch 24CH, which got by adrenaline pumping so hard, it took awhile to finally fall asleep. In that entire cycle I woke up to the Patches news and next time I woke up it was to PK being signed. Early days in Habsville, but they are exciting! Of course, a loss will send us all into bashing mode. I've been around long-enough. Still not as bipolar as the leafs
Held his own in doing what? Helping the team finish 15th? He's good, but remember how Tyler Myers and John Carlson were going to win Norris after Norris?
I think it's easy to look good when you're the top option on a team with no other options.
I'm glad he's signed, but this notion that he's just going to keep a steady incline in performance is misguided. He might, he might not.
That's BS, you know what happens to pretty good but not great defensemen on bad teams? They get asked to do too much and get killed.
Erik Karlsson in 10-11 and Cam Fowler in his first 2 years are the perfect examples. They end up with double digit minuses on the year..

That's the Don Fehr line of thinking....so you would be OK for PK to sit out a whole year and make 0.00??
-McGwire said you had to multiply the years and the salary of Del Zotto by two for Subban's real market value.
-Subban will sell merchandise, give the club huge visibility. Del Zotto doesn't fill one extra seat in your arena.
Next year , PK will receive 3,750 in paychecks while Kris Letang will receive 3,5.
The total contract value is still low. But hey, if PK's happy, I'm happy. Really don't give a crap.
I was against the bridge contract because PK will likely see his cap hit more than double in 2years. I was for giving him a longer deal now to save cap room in two years.
That was the point.
But like I said, if both parties are happy, let bygones be bygones be bygones, awesome. Let's start kicking some serious ass now.
