I think one of my friends is having a breakdown over the Coachella lineup.

Looking at the latest LA Times article...Helene Elliot really hates the Ducks. But I guess we knew that already.

Back to her sideways insults I see. She always seems to try to take the Ducks down a peg when they're doing good and the Kings aren't. It's very unprofessional, and quite juvenile of her, one so old.

Has anyone read Behind The Moves? It's the NHL GM book that I've been hearing is spectacular (pricey, but spectacular). Pronman was plugging it earlier today on Twitter, and Marek, Wyshynski, Friedman and a few others have in the past.

I love those "rank the cup champs post 04-05 lockout". Before they were great because they fed my homerism since almost everyone puts the Ducks in the top two spots. But since the Kings won, it's twice as sweet.

I miss Pierre McGuire broadcasting nationally for Ducks games, because he'd always make mention of the Pahlsson-Moen-Niedermayer line. That fed my homerism a lot.

By the way, why don't you post on TSN Comments anymore? Haven't seem you over there in a long while.

I still comment every once in a while on TSN, but I've kept my online hockey conversation to HFboards for the most part. I try to stay away from those sports new websites, especially ESPN where it is an all out troll war. Although TSN is good at moderating their comments, and it's mostly civil. On top of that TSN is way biased toward Canadian teams. Not that I don't like Canadian teams, and I don't blame them for it being a Canadian news website, I just would prefer more neutrality in my sports reporting.

I have tickets to see George Lopez tonight in LB for free if anyone wants to go instead of watching hockey. Won the tix and don't feel like going.

Finally saw the high frame rate version of The Hobbit. It's clearly the way Jackson meant the film to be viewed, and for some scenes it's stunning. The technology isn't ready yet though IMO. The CGI looks bad with it in bright light, but looks fantastic in dimmer scenes. The action scenes are so clear they look fake, the blur you get with standard film looks far better to me. If they could blend the two I think he'd be onto something.
