Death for Seth is great but I want a scoring winger.
Sinkin' for Mackinnon
Limpin for Mackinnon
Winning? You must be kidding, we want Mackinnon.
Shinny for Mackinny
Hishon for Mackinnon (no seriously, down for a trade?)

So Landy comes back and doesn't appear injured, meaning no suspension for Stuart, even though the point of contact was the head. Then he ends up being hurt anyway. Awesome. Way to go league.

Let's just hope he learns to keep his head up after this.

This is frustrating to hear, but there is no penalty for making contact with the head if it is not from the blind side. In other words, if your going up ice and are caught with your head down, your ****ed. Only thing I did see was his feet leave the ice... Although it seems that happened post-hit.
None the less, imo, there should be a change in the rules for contact with head, like in minor hockey.
But when all is said and done, Don Cherry says it best; ''Keep your head up kid.''

I think he saw Stuart. He just didn't expect him to step up and possibly caring a bit too much about getting the puck deep. It was a mistake by Landeskog, but it's not like he was skating looking at the puck.

That's fine, I'm tired of seeing people say that he needs to "keep his head up", his head was up.

It doesn't change the fact that the principle point of contact was his head, and Stuart's arm/elbow had follow through, a suspension should have followed suit, but surprise, surprise, the player wasn't hurt at the time, therefore "no harm, no foul" right?

That was shoulder to head. No problem with that in the current system... unfortunately.

I thought that the following analysis was well put out, people should take a read and look at the pics that accompany it.

If he had his head up just a little bit sooner he could have bailed and saved himself from getting rocked. He put himself in a vulnerable position.

I really hope he heals quickly and this doesn't lead to more concussions in the future.

Seems biased and I mean, this comes from a huge fan of landy (looking at the pic, which has been there since his first game) and really, if you look at the fourth picture, you can see the initial point of contact is his shoulder. What followed suit was his arm, which I garante you, once he's hit his shoulder, 95% of the hit has been delivered. If we look at him leaving his feet (next picture) we see his feet still on the ground while landy is already bent backwards.

Anyways, both our minds are set in stone i'm sure about this, so no use dragging it on. I will say that it really sucks to have landy get a concussion (assuming it is) this early in his career. These things tend to come back.
