Steigy is going to have a long night trying to figure out the whole Streit-Strait thing.

Also would it be too much to ask for to see Despres and Bortuzzo get in this game and see Lovejoy sit?

I'd like to see Engelland with Letang. Despres-Bortuzzo. With Despres getting spot duty on the top pairing.

Haha. Nice touch on Niskanen's decade injury.

Lovejoy-Letang
Orpik-Martin
Reese-Engelland

Reese will be emergency call up with the injury to Niskanen.

Bylsma: "Niskanen's hurt, we need a guy with NHL experience."

Shero: "I'll make the call to Wilkes-Barre about Dylan Reese on an emergency call up"

NHL: "Pittsburgh has two young defensemen on their roster who can fill in for Niskanen, no need to call up Reese on an emergency basis, if you call him up you will be over the contract limit."

Bylsma:

Ahh, just realized I forgot to update the overall record up top. Sorry! Haha. I had it all made and just plugged in the names and numbers but forgot that one. Failure.

Hope we build on the defense we started the other night. It was far from perfect but after what we saw against the Leafs & Jets it was a major upgrade.

Baby steps.

Awesome GDT!

I feel like this team could use a confidence builder. They won yesterday while I was there (Pretty successful 1st NHL game) but it could have easily had a different outcome had Fleury not been as good as he was! I still think a big win might help.

Not by any means saying that the Islanders will be easy, they come out hard, just our big guys need a jump for sure.

Prediction 5-2 Pens

Great job, Lirit.

I know you have a system down and ready to pump them out.

There was a reason they were carrying 8 D-man.

LGP!

It saddens me to put this up, but this is what I think will happen.

Orpik, Letang
Martin, Lovejoy
Botuzzo, Engelland

Nice GDT! Here's to a good game! FYI, Hamonic out with a sprained ankle. So, as bad as you may think your D looks, ours looks a lot worse.

Hamonic is very underrated so that's a break for the Pens.

Letang may have to play the left side if he plays with Engelland. I think he did that when a lot of injuries hit last year or the year before. Otherwise they can play Orpik/Letang together and Martin/Engelland together.

Lovejoy will definitely be on the bottom paring with either Bortuzzo or Despres.

The way the Isles played last game, this game won't even be close unfortunately especially since Hamonic isn't even playing.

With Hamonic out, Isles defense is by a distance the worst in the league if it wasn't already. If we don't abuse them, it would be wrong.

I predict we generate between 35 to 40 shots on goal ... but I predict we'll only score 2 or 3, at most, on those 40 shots.

Unless Sid and/or Geno are in God mode, then I could see 5 or so goals. But if they're not carrying the offense, I wouldn't be surprised if this game is really close, and low scoring at that.
