I'm not disagreeing with you, but the Ribs trade looks really good right now. It may be even at the moment (pt's wise), but long term, it looks like he got one hell of a young player in Eakin.

I'm in no way saying GMJN should be sacked. I only pointed out to someone asking about selling UFA's that this situation has not occurred with GMJN at the helm.

Maybe this year will be different, but if you want a true sell off, I do believe that only happens with a new GM.

I honestly have not idea what piqued is saying. You can look at every trade deadline GMJN as ran the team. They've held onto assets rather than trade them. Most of the time they were close to the playoff mix. I would have preferred he opted for a sell off, but it's not stunning that he didn't I guess.

And Eakin so far doesn't have ANY of the attitude problems Ribeiro had.

But both of those are still in the air at the moment...
Pretty easy to see that Eakin is going to maintain his path. You don't just lose talent over night.

There's no question his bad moves outweigh his good ones, but he does deserve credit for a couple fo these trades and the Benn contract.

Would I prefer a different GM? Absolutely.

And of course the 2 players that need to get traded the most have NTCs.

Good on GMJN for keeping picks and prospects, but the scouts and Les Jackson are making those picks.

Fiddler just said on post game "that you can argue the call all you want.." referencing his penalty (or two).

He seriously doesn't believe he actually committed those?

If Gulutzan isn't fired by years end, then Joe should definitely get the boot.

The ntc's have been a bit easy to get around here over the past few years. Luckily Morrow and Robidas are likely guys contenders and ideal landing spots might be intrigued by.

If Gully is going to get fired, I really can't see Joe surviving a third head coach (not including Tippett obviously) without a single season of playoff hockey since he has taken over.

This is like an abusive relationship. You think it'll get better and they keep telling you its gonna get better but it never will.

I could see Joe firing Gulutzan as a last ditch effort to save his own ass... Whether it works is another story.

I'm not listening tonight. Just wow. To his credit though, you rarely see a call like that. Maybe he hasn't seen the replay?

Glad to hear Fiddler own up to his double minor killing momentum. As people have mentioned the first line was looking good up until that point. Taking the zone, setting up a cycle, then the penalties hit. Jagr is coming in off a sore back, skating with a new center, they look like they're starting to click and then boom, he's sitting on the bench the next 10 minutes.

The man responsible for the 2009 draft (one that was awesome by the way) was already sacked. IMO, we'll never no for sure, but I believe he was fired for that pick.

I bring up all the damn time, but I can't help it. I was stunned when Glennie said Dallas never even talked to him before the draft. That's assinine. They scouted Chiasson like he was going to marry one of their daughters.

Saw one of those double minors last night I think. I was so confused. Didn't know that was even possible.

I think the board is overreacting. 6 games, guys. Close games, some bad luck. Let's at least get this season to double digits before we call it quits.
