That Claude.....a team can always use a guy like him.4 cups?
He's a locker room cancer who bullies players and nobody likes him. Nothing but off ice issues with that clown. You're trying to tell me his name is on a Stanley Cup? But that completely destroys my broken logic that this is a game of integrity and sportsmanship! Next thing you're gonna tell me is that Dustin Brown takes cheapshots or something!
Agreeing to such a relatively low contract shows character on PK's part.
yah..the dude is worth 5 mill right now. i would have rathered he get the big deal now because i feel like the long they wait to give it to him the bigger the cap hit is going to get
bergevin is still a rookie gm.and this could have blown up in his face bigtime.bergevin has proved less than pk has.the draft?timmins.prust?ufa overpayment.everything he's had to deal with so far have been no brainer situations.and like i said before ,he came from a team that hired gauthier.what did he save by dragging it out this long? a million?is it worth poisoning the well for that?
But it didn't, he made sure of that. Seriously, how is this even an argument?
Anaheim GM will laugh when he sees what Subban's hit will be after the summer of 2014.
And the Habs would be paying a fair price at that time. Nothing wrong with that. That's how the game works. You don't try to sign someone long term too early just in the hope that you are underpaying him in the future. That's a twisted mentality in this line of business.

The notion that calling someone a racist is worse than racism itself makes me facepalm.
Also, most of the pundits on tv are white dinosaurs from an old era. Most of them also manage to display stereotyping of Europeans as soft and selfish. With the way they see Europeans, I'm not afraid to say that the way they see black people probably isn't flattering either. Most white people are racist anyway. Don't want to get called out on it? Don't gang up unfairly on a minority based on b.s assumptions. Or just cry moar.
Thank you, this is exactly what I was talking about.
And yes, it is clear Subban is viewed by the media in a racial lens, I hear the same cliches about Subban that I do in other sports - an obsession with his personality and crediting his game more to his athleticism and skill than his work ethic or understanding. So no, when I hear pundits freak out about a high/low five and how that's ruining the game, forgive me but I will be skeptical.

Reason: qdp
When asked to compare this season vs last season, Subban answered: “... I have seen a team that’s energetic and I see, more importantly, a team. When you look at the Montreal Canadiens, it’s a hockey team. You can see that there are guys that are willing to stand up for each other and it’s definitely a fun team to be a part of. I am excited to get back, start playing again and integrating myself within this team...”
Therrien will be a much better coach for Subban than Martin and Cunneyworth.
Our GM has a plan.
Game on!

Best line I heard on a certain TV show tonight was that PK seemed a lot more 'corporate' on the teleconference
But it didn't, he made sure of that. Seriously, how is this even an argument?
its not an arguement ,bergevin has already shown he is green as a gm.he hasnt proven anything.lowballing a franchise player isnt necessarily a smart move.he's got 4 games under his belt as a gm.will he use the same tactic with galchenyuk?

Well I never said that. One thing is for sure, he played to win, that I can't knock.
He's also from a different generation.
Did I missed your
I prefer the team to hold their sticknup at the centre ice. Much more team bonding than two guys doing low or high fives.
raising sticks at center ice is so lame and unoriginal.
triple low five >>>>> everything
they way antichambre was talking about whether or not pk would be accepted in the locker room it was like he was a murderer. im seriously just trolling myself when i watch that show
Wow, and who are you to tell us what to like? Get off that high horse.
Your obviously a PK fan by your avatar. He is not that good. I'm not going to argue it, because I could be wrong. I don't want to portray the guy as a cancer, because he's not. all I'm trying to say is PK's personality is too large for the team. I'm not telling you what to like, with the triple low five. I know this is the new age of hockey, but it's still not soccer where player's rip there shirts off after goals and fall on the floor and start crying. Come on you would have to be lying if you did'nt think nail yakupov's goal celebration was a little too larger than life. I don't see the triple low five as detrimental to the team, I just see it as un-needed, I would rather see the team come together and raise there sticks to the crowd like in the jersey game then see pk rush over to price for a triple low 5.
So Guy Carbonneau is a racist because he isn't particularly fond of the triple low 5. Question is, is he racist against black people OR racist against native people? THAT is the real question here.
Just in case...I will put mister smiley here for everyone to see.
- great development by Diaz and Emelin!
- PK and Markov in the lineup together (Only 20 games and 3 playoff games before)
- 3 solid D pairing with a puck moving D on each pairing
- flexibility to move assets like a Weber or a Kaberle
- solid D prospects on the horizon (Tinordi, Ellis, Nathan B., Bennett, Dietz, Thrower)
A W E S O M E !!!!!
For Now
Emelin. Markov
Subban Gorges
Diaz. Boullion
Kaberle
