NTC is not reported very well in Dallas. We lose our **** collective over them, and they often turn out to be limited.

Ott's turned out to be limited. He didn't even have one leading up to them re-signing them. Daley's also turned out to be limited.

I imagine Morrow's is ironclad, but Robi's is probably limited as well. Regardless, neither has a Cup. I lose all respect for them if they don't jump at a chance to play for a contender.

An 1/8 of the season is over tonight. This is not October in an 82 game schedule.

Capgeek says if it's limited. Both just show NTC.

That was one thing Crawford was good at, getting mad.

Even if Crawford was a guy who couldn't learn to coach in the new NHL, you can't deny he had spunk. Also had no bitter feelings, I've never seen Dallas get so much attention on TSN as they did when Crawford was on the TSN panel.

I have nothing positive to say about Gulutzan.

BTW ... I'm not saying it's impossible they can't recover, but it's harder to do that this year than any other year.

The coach and team have been saying over and over again that a losing streak can end the season ... welcome to the losing streak. They looked great against Detroit a week ago, but it's the 2nd night of a B2B.

It's idiotic they can't figure it out, but they haven't yet. Hopefully tomorrow is the start of a new trend, but I'm not holding my breath.

I believe they sacked the guy who was responsible for Campbell too, is that right?

I bring up all the damn time, but I can't help it. I was stunned when Glennie said Dallas never even talked to him before the draft. That's assinine. They scouted Chiasson like he was going to marry one of their daughters.
Well, Nieuwendyk nut-huggers will always tell you to "forget the past" when it comes to that, or firing Tippett or hiring Crawfish or picking Campbell over the defensemen we needed.

But when it comes to Hicks screwing this franchise, it's always "Never will it be forgot!"

They said that about Ott's before, and that didn't turn out true.

It's a Dallas media problem. We don't typically get the full details for whatever reason.

CapGeek is amazing, and they're one of my favorite websites. For whatever reason, we hear about NTC down the line. The first time I saw Ott's NTC was limited was when Heika mentioned it down the line, and then Ott mentioned it in a radio interview.

Heika sees absolutely no reason to pry and find out the details.

Does he do other things besides Stars coverage? I hope they don't pay him well for it.

Ribeiro was the other guy ... I forgot about him. CapGeek had him with a full NTC, and it turned out he had a limited ... name 6 teams type.

EDIT: LOL ... Loui's still says TBA. Was it two years ago he signed? I have absolutely no idea the details of his. I've never seen them reported.

I want to say he covered TCU during the lock out.

Am sure he saw no reason to pry into their football drug problems either.

Yeah, but it doesn't mean we have to be unrealistic with our expectations. It's still only 6 games, however long the season may be. It's still too early.

10 games isn't unreasonable, is it now?

I'm disappointed, but not going to panic yet. It's pretty obvious this team is one of the teams we were warned about before the start of the season, as far as conditioning goes.

Benn looked like a player who hasn't played in over a month.
Jagr looks 40 and still hurt.
Morrow and Fiddler are old and slow.

Gonna give this team another 10 games or so to get into game shape and for Gully to get his system the way he wants it before really judging. But it doesn't look good.

Yeah .. kind of. At 10 games you're two away from 1/4 of the season being gone. You can't really struggle this season and survive.

Agreed, but all signs seem to be pointing at Roy extending.

I know some people won't agree, but any trade that takes Steve Ott off this team was a success in my book.
