Ummmm, hold on. Maybe I am just reading those wrong, and if that is the case I am very sorry for scaring you all. Here is my line of thought.

6x-3y+12=0
Isolate your Y variable by adding 3y to both sides, to get
3y = 6x + 12
Then divide by three so your equation is in the form y=mx + b to get
y = 2x + 4

I am seeing a bunch of negatives in your equations and I do not think they should be there.

I was taught that when you brought the 6x and 12 over you had to make them negative.

You're doing it the long way.

6x -3y +12 = 0
6x -3y = -12
-3y = -6x -12

At this point, you'd divide everything by -3.

y = 2x + 4

That is right. So if you want to move your 6x and 12 over, it would be

-3y = -6x -12

But then you need to divide by -3. Dividing a negative by a negative leaves you with a positive, so you should have y = 2x + 4.
