What really irks me is listening to our coaches interviews during the game. I am sick and tired of hearing about their "system" and how hard it makes it on us. This is a depleted team that is starting an AHL goalie that has a 1-4 record. That system hasn't been too hard on anyone else this year.........
Its makes little sense to wish for a top 6 forward unless you want to Weber Rinne or Josi. Thats all we got to bargan with. The remainder of all our forwards to include the guys in milwaukee are 3 liners on any other team. So why make outlandish wishful statments.
Not true at all. Trades off the top of my head: Richards, Carter, Horton, Kessel, Nash. None involved a Weber or a Rinne.
It's not Phoenix's goalies, it's Dave Tippett's system. Just like the playoffs, they're beating us at our own game, and they're doing it better.
The Yotes play what used to be Predators hockey ... keep it tight and turn mistakes into a rush the other way. They outdid us at our game last playoffs and we're not playing that style at all so far this season.
Every one of their goals tonight was directly resultant from a Preds error with the puck ... turn it over, watch it end up on (or past) Peks. For this Preds team to succeed, they must play within the system .... and they aren't.
