Replica ring giveaway

Sometimes living 3,000 miles away from your favorite team is a bad thing..

I was able to secure a mini banner, but I really would love to get my hands (or at least a finger) on one of the rings. I know I will have to bring my A game to get one so here goes...

If one of you could secure me one of these rings (or possibly two, but I don't want to get too greedy) I would be happy to offer this in exchange...

The photo does this thing no justice. It's a beautiful piece, hand signed by @dewyy8 himself. It is not a typical cardboard hockey card either... it is a transparent piece of acetone or plastic; you really have to see it to appreciate it.

Just in case you are interested, the Kings (or someone) is raffling off a GENUINE ring. The cost is $2.00 per ticket.

I saw it advertised last night during the game, sorry I don't have any more specifics than that...but I am sure you can find it somewhere on the Kings site.

I saw that Ron. I think I am going to put my money into that at the games instead of puck for a buck.

I'm sure there will be a few on Ebay. Would you guys really wear a big, gaudy ring out in every day life?

Judging by the photo of it on LAKings.com calling it a "replica" is really off the mark.

Stalker for years here but I thought I might be able to offer some insight here. I am too interested in a ring and I was at LGK and Rink Rat posted this:

http://letsgokings.com/f4/rinkrats_d...ey-432838.html

Kind of interesting, but I see someone in the comment section says that Team LA store will be selling these for $25 and all the money goes to Kings Care Foundation. I am not sure how true this is, but maybe wait before buying one on Ebay. GKG!

I'd be willing to trade a Doughty Upperdeck rookie card AND Kopitar Upperdeck rookie card if someone is interested in trading a replica ring!

Are visiting Canucks fans gonna receive them? Do fans of the road team get discriminated against for giveaways?

Canucks fans will get them too. Best you can do is offer them a beer for it, but I'm sure they'll put them up on eBay...

Let 'em. It may be the closest they ever get to a Stanley Cup ring.

Any official word is these rings will be sold on NHL.com or other licensed stores/websites? Also I'm assuming the rings are likely one basic size?

I might wear it on playoff days or something or just put it next to my Gretzky Authentic CCM Center Ice he signed for me in a nice case and other autos I have.

From (COLD) Minnesota.

Patrick O'Neal said the replica rings will be sold at the Team LA store for $25 and they're the same ones the fans are getting tonight.

Selling them too kind of sucks. Kind of cheapens (or not) the sentimentality of being there tonight, IMO.

(I'd still get one though)

It's for charity, if that counts for anything.

just back from the game - I have to admit the rings are MUCH nicer than I expected - solid metal (maybe nickel? not sure) quite hefty, in a nice little display stand - really a nice giveaway

Oh, no McDonalds logo either

That's terrible. I hope people know they can get them for $25 at the Kings Team LA Store.

People are such jerks to gouge others like that.

I should send them a nice email. If that money wasn't going to a charity, I couldn't care less...but really? Heartless.

It really is a nice ring. I thought for sure it was going to be plastic, was very surprised that its is made out of metal.

By far the nicest give away Ive received at a game.

My only complaint is that the ring looks nothing like the actual Stanley Cup ring given to the players.

I'd totally wear it the next time I go to a Kings Wild game at excel just to troll my friends who are all Wild fans!

I saw it on my CenterIce coverage. They said it was very good quality.
