Rome was his boy toy. Don't even get me started on him. Anyone who watches the Canucks knows AV has his little man crushes, Rome was the poster boy for AV, though.
you obviously know him better than I would and my opinion is based on crediting much of the Canucks success on his coaching abilities. As someone who had to endure the same things with MacTavish with sheltering, dog house players, favorites (Infamous Toby Petersen) the grass isn't greener on the other side.

Fire AV and he's hired the next day.

Nothing to see here folks.
You'll be sorely disappointed when you see how little impact Kesler and Booth make to this team once they're back.

Exactly. He may not be Scott Bowman but he also is no Tony Granato.

MacT was okay for Chicago [Wolves], not bad, but not sure if I would want him for Canucks.

I have no doubt that AV would be hired the next day. The only season where I liked him was his first season when we were a trap team. That was his system, that was his Jack Adams.

We were so bad at offense that he had to tweak his system, but he continues to play grinders over talent in an offensive system.

Yet the Canucks continue to continually be a contender with back-to-back President's trophies while being top 5 in both goals for AND goals against.

What skill players aren't getting the playing time they deserve?

Is this really needed? Sure, we're frustrated but let's leave the *****ing to our own board. Not like anyone not watching the Nucks can weigh in much.

I definitely would not say that...

But what the hell was with the lat ten minutes? Why ice the puck constantly? Why not put pressure on the goalie and establish your for check. If he had done that and allowed his team to play to win and maybe run up the score a bit. If he had done that...it would have changed the result. Even if the team didnt score...you enter OT with Quick on his heels and the team with offensive momentum.

Coho. Shirokov and Grabner didn't even get a legit chance. Grabner got injured. Shirokov scored and then got benched the next game.

I actually think he's a great coach.
Please, take him away. He'll bench eberle, hall, yakupov, schultz and rnh because they are being too offensive. Just make sure he doesn't get ebbett on your team.

Hodgson had attitude problems and there were problems well beyond AV's power. Also he was injured for nearly 2 years.

Grabner had a good last half of a season with the Canucks including a hat trick, so not sure where you are going with that. Gillis traded him, not AV

Shirokov never actually did get much of a fair shot in the NHL, but he didn't necessarily play as it was expected from him.

Kassian our best player all year, our best forward this game, had ZERO time in OT.

Amazing coaching
