Kassian our best player all year, our best forward this game, had ZERO time in OT.
Amazing coaching
I put little blame on AV for this, but majority for players. We suck big chunks at shootouts, but AV keeps going back with the same players. Give someone else a chance and stop using the Sedins/Edler.
Hodgson had attitude problems and there were problems well beyond AV's power. Also he was injured for nearly 2 years.
Grabner had a good last half of a season with the Canucks including a hat trick, so not sure where you are going with that. Gillis traded him, not AV
Shirokov never actually did get much of a fair shot in the NHL, but he didn't necessarily play as it was expected from him.
Coho was still the best Canuck at times and got rewarded with being the water boy. It's his responsibility to play the best players or the players that give us the best chance to win.
Grabner was too streaky for AV's liking and not good enough defensively.
Shirokov AV totally messed up.

Yeah, in the second, lol. There have been crucial times in the playoffs where he didn't use it. Also, why didn't he pull Lu vs Boston when Lu told him he wanted to stay? That was extremely bad.
Sacco. Sacco. Sacco.
Seriously guys. AV is not bad, the Canucks are missing their 2nd line center in Kesler. The worst goes to Sacco. How the **** does he still have a job?

he is that bad.. the canucks are a good team despite his terrible decisions every game. He is not a smart man.
It might be just me, but whenever I see AV giggling like a little schoolgirl it annoys the hell out of me. This team needs a Torterella to light a fire under its ass.
He probably would have won the Calder if he was used correctly. (I love Kassian, though)
I'm sure AV had a part in this just like he did with Coho being traded.
Shirokov is in the KHL because he wasn't given a fair chance in the NHL.
And it was Raymond or Grabner. We know AV likes Raymond.
But Raymond isn't a grinder. I thought he only liked grinders...
Who should have Hodgson played more minutes over? He was 7th or 8th in ES time on ice last year. It's not like he was playing 8 minutes a game.
Grabner was an all-skill, nothing else type player. If he wasn't scoring, he wasn't doing anything. Not the kind of player that fits in AVs system. Why should AV change his system for a player that may or may not be a full time NHLer.
It seems 29 other teams didn't feel Shirokov deserved what you would call "a fair shot".
6 years with the Canucks. So...
- 5 years in the playoffs
- 3 years 1st in the division
- 2 years President's Trophy
- 1 year Stanley Cup Finals
And as of right now, 13th in the league, 6th in the conference.
Vigneault has brought the team its most successful string of seasons, and he's the worst coach because he's lost 2 of the first 6 this season?
Vigneault has always been criticized pretty much after every year the Canucks don't win the cup. I bet more than a few teams would be interested in someone of his resume if he gets canned.
Vancouver's a toxic environment, and I believe I'm only half-exaggerating when I say that.

Raymond isn't a grinder, but he is defensively responsible.
Split ice time more evenly? Give Kes an easier workload and let him be more fresh for the playoffs? Even Schroeder got more TOI than Coho who got 12-13.
Yep, like I said. If you're not a Sedin you're not going to be playing if you're a skill based guy. That's why we will never win with AV.
Not like the 29 other teams had a choice. Shirokov bolted back to the KHL. He was misused, and I would be upset, too, if I was a Russian that knew just as much english as Datsyuk. Not AV's fault, but Koltsov would've looked good on the Canucks.

AV is a sit back kind of guy. Did you see 'em today? Pass red line dump and change.

Now we are getting somewhere.
How dare a coach prefer a skill player that is also defensively responsible.
Show me how many "pure skill" guys that aren't elite/top line talent have an impact on cup winning teams? LA had none, Boston had none, Chicago had none, ect...
or he's a terrible coach with a top 5 team that masks his bone head decisions.
Yea sure and Lou is a lucky goalie with a stacked team too. Burrows is lucky is playing with the Sedins. The D core is overrated. So basically everybody is bad except the Sedins.

How many of those teams had legit/elite two way players? Not a gong show like the Canucks have. Kesler/Burrows are our only legit players.
What, are we not supposed to use a Patrick Kane in the playoffs? Whenever we get an injury to a top 6 F, Lapierre is always given a shot. WTF. We're allowed to have a Seguin or Sharp, as well.
The team just played its 4th game in 6 nights - for a team that had hardly anyone playing during the lockout and no real training camp, most of them probably aren't in game shape. Plus, let's not forget that we're missing Kesler and Booth. Chill the **** out people, we'll be OK.
