I expect Gardiner to eat them up tonight -- they couldn't contain him last year and with the level of limp stick checking they've tried in the last few games, he'll run wild on them. Ah, going off the report from two days ago that he was playing. Never mind!
No MacArthur is also a good thing for the Leafs -- he was nearly the best Sabre on the ice last week.

Brennan in for their most stable, simple d-man? Showcase perhaps? I hope Brennan remembers which end of the ice he's supposed to do most of his work in tonight....
The Leafs may be a good team against which to showcase Brennan. George W. Bush was a first-term President the last time the Leafs PK finished better than 23rd. They're 12th so far, so you know they're ripe for the picking.
Knowing Ruff, though, TJB will get mostly defensive-zone starts and little or no PP time.
The only mistake Sulzer has made was shooting the puck over the glass last game. His defensive zone coverage has been great and he makes a good outlet pass. I really hope Ruff isn't benching him because of one gaff. If anything Leopold should sit.
I'm glad Weber and Brennan are getting a shot. Maybe they can inject something fresh into this lineup. Sulzer hasn't killed us, but let's not pretend he's been some kind of dynamo.
Defensive dynamo, no. Something to be said, though, for only being on the ice for one ES goal against so far, with 50% defensive zone starts. It's good when bad things aren't happening to your team when you're on the ice.
I think it's a showcase game for TJB. The Laffs PK has been historically bad since the 2004-05 lockout. It's a chance for him to show his skills on the PP.
