Sweet! I'll give that a try. Hopefully the game shows up soon...

So we're finally going to see Sekera-Myers for a game?

Looks like the right foot:

@reporterchris: Robyn Regehr just walked out of the rink with a walking boot on his right foot. He'll miss tonight's game for the #Sabres.

Naturally, the news is broken by a non-Sabres reporter.

Sulzer gets benched? WTF? I thought he's been our 2nd best defensemen so far

Sure, I'll swing at this softball.

Because

1) people are people no matter what professional sports team they root for, and they deserve an opportunity to observe the game they love.
2) leafs fans have a much harder time attending games than sabres fans do and have the right to know about a local team still having tickets on gameday for a matchup with their team of choice.
3) I don't extend my preference for the Sabres into a pseudo romantic loyalty to a business worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
4) it was a nice thing to do, and if at the end of the day my 30 seconds of effort makes someone's day even marginally better I'll do it every time.

Or, you know, I'm a leafs fan. Obviously.

Eh, I have my doubts about Brennan's ability to enliven the PP. He's a shooter, primarily, and they already have a variety of shooters out there in the likes of Ehrhoff and Pominville on the point. The puck movement is slow and sloppy, players have yet again stopped moving to openings without the puck, making it all that much easier to defend a static shooter on the back end.

If Regehr is out, perhaps Ruff will scrap the Regehr-Myers pair since it again doesn't seem to be working.

Oh hell. Even a slowed Regehr is a better option to actually defend his net than almost every other defensemen in the organization. Boot? That sounds serious.

please god let this lead back to Sekera-Myers once and for all... i dont understand how something that makes so much sense, can be so elusive to Ruff

I will hold off judgment on the sitting of Sulzer until we know if he is hurt or not.

If he is not, I don't like the move.

No, he is not the perfect melding of Bobby Orr and Paul Coffey, but he is not expected to be. The guy plays a defensively sound, low key style of play, and as someone said, he tends to make a good first breakout pass.

Let's hope (strangely) that he is dinged up a bit. Otherwise, this just makes me hate Ruff more.

I love Weber, but he is a borderline NHL caliber defenseman. I hope he has a good game. Maybe he will roll into Thursday's game, where we will likely need his toughness.

Brennan-Myers though... that might have a high, high comic value.

My directv says 638 which it always is everytime the sabres play. Not sure where you guys are having trouble, even my app says that channel.

Yeah Sulzer's been good, if he got pulled out before Leopold or Myers I would be pissed if I was him. I wonder if he's injured.

I think it's a showcase game for TJB. The Laffs PK has been historically bad since the 2004-05 lockout. It's a chance for him to show his skills on the PP.
Brennan replaces Sulzer and Weber Regehr.

Like others have said, Sulzer has been a top 2 defensemen thus far for our team by keeping it simple

Center Ice on Comcast in USA is showing the game on channel 2.

Only one channel for the game though, so Comcast viewers won't have the option of picking Buffalo or Toronto broadcast. With the game in Buffalo, I'm guessing we will get RJ.

Finally! Will be the first time I've heard him call a game this year.

It would make no sense to pull him out if he wasn't dinged up. None.
