Jeff Skinner slew-foots Patrice Bergeron

Quote:
The end of the Carolina Hurricanes’ 5-3 loss to the Boston Bruins on Monday was eventful for two reasons. First, because Tyler Seguin scored the first empty net goal in his hockey career. Second, because Patrice Bergeron went nuts on Jeff Skinner, and Patrice Bergeron really never gets nuts.
What set him off? According to this highlight from NESN, the players were tangled up at the end of the game, and Bergeron was taken down; but was it via a Jeff Skinner slew-foot?

Gutless play by Skinner, slew-footing is unacceptable.

edit- want to see better video before making a complete judgement

Don't think that's a slewfoot technically. Looked like he was falling backwards and grabbed a hold, instead of kicking Bergeron's foot forward. Feet may have made contact but it doesn't look intentional. Bergeron's stick is making more contact with Skinner than Skinner's feet did with Bergeron. That may be what made Skinner lose balance.

Poor Skinner. Looked mostly accidental perhaps.

it certainly has all the qualifications of a slew foot, except this is why you still need human ref's for interpretation. he was falling.

Idk it really hard to tell, like couple others said he looks like he was losing balance but yet again he might of done it to be ignorant. The Canes were getting spanked 5-3!

Well looks like Skinner got it just as bad as Bergeron so it all evens out. No suspension.

Skinner is attempting to go behind the net, as is Bergeron. Their legs make contact and they both go down. There's no slew-foot here

Not the best angle, I watched it about 15 times (just the beginning obviously) and although I'm not 100% I do believe I saw Skinner foot go behind Bergeron's. Would love if anyone had a better angle.

Dirty play by Skinner but I don't think it was a slew foot.

Skinner really does look like he's bawling his eyes out when Bergeron confronted him

When the event happened the score was 4-3 and the puck was in the Bruins end. I'd hardly call that 'spanked'

It was 4-3 at the time. That's not exactly spanked.

prolly still mad from that sandwich he took earlier in the first.
as for the play, wouldn't call it a slewfoot but it was kind of a dirt move by skinner.

Really hard to tell on that. It fits the qualifications but with both going for the puck behind the net like that and the stick on Skinner like that I'd be more inclined to think it was accidental. He has pulled some **** in the past but this doesn't really look the same as the other incidents.

Not a slew foot. Bergeron gets out in front of Skinner and when Skinner tries to not make contact with Bergeron, he loses his balance and ends up knocking the legs out from under Bergeron.
