I am more than happy to keep Gagner at this point, he has finally turned it around. He has 6 points in 5 games. Yes his FO% is low but that is really due to the SJ game where the entire team was terrible. I am not going to say that he is going to average a point a game for the rest of the season but he will have a better PPG than in his previous years.

For those of you that say he has no grit take a look at EDMs last game, it was Gagner blocking then hustling against the dman that got the puck back to Yak for the empty net. Gagner gives it 100% every game. His defensive game is improving by leaps and bounds hence why he is playing on the PK now.

Just keep him on the Oilers. Trading away talented players simply for big players is agreat way to never be a contender.

He's played there before, but personally I don't think he was as effective.

Gunnarsson+ for Gagner would be completely acceptable to me.

Though it would open up a hole at 2C for the Oilers, not exactly eager to throw Belanger or Horcoff there.

What about Gunnarsson and Bozak for Gagner and your pick of one of our bottom pairing d-men: Whitney, Potter, Peckham, Teubert?

Gagner's worth more than Gunnarsson, and Bozak's worth more than the bottom pairing d-man.

I never understand all the Gagner hate. He's got off to a fantastic start this season and he's a hell of a hard worker. Too many armchair GMs just parroting the same crap over and over without actually watching any games.
