Oliver Bjørkstrand is playing for Denmark at the U20-WC division 1A in France. Denmark has won 5-2 over France and 4-3 over Slovenia. Oliver Bjørkstrand has 3G 1A in these two matches, and awarded best player on the danish team in the second match.
He seems to be the offensive dynamo on a danish team without Nicklas Jensen, who is not playing for the danish U20 team this tournament.

It's kind of ironic but his future is a lot like nick Jensen's. We ahve to see how strong he gets and how his frame fills out.
Right now, in limited viewing , he has done quite well for his age but he is on a powerhouse team as well.
He has the potential to be a solid top 6 player but I'm not sure if his ceiling is higher than that and man he is along way off from there as well.
Oliver Bjørkstrand has currently 17G 19A in 38 games, so still going around a point pr game or a little under through the season so far.
Stats through career like a mirror image of Nicklas Jensen's, but as stated above his bulk needs to grow if he wants to be drafted at the same level as Jensen (late first round draft).
Right now a mid to low second round draft seems to be his level.
Still saying that if the Canucks have a late (think 26+) first or get an early second I want them to draft him.
In a draft as deep as this, I don't think Bjorkstrand is good value as a late 1st rounder. Mid 2nd round is when I would start considering drafting him.

Yeah, just because I would want them to doesn't mean they will. Like the past two years there will be some 10-20 ranked player who drops and will be snatched up.
A danish clan in Vancouver would be great and having Jannik Hansen there to show the new danish kids what it takes wont be bad, even though both Nicklas Jensen and Oliver Bjørkstrand both have experienced north american hockey dads. Nothing wrong with their work ethics, but Jannik Hansen takes it too a whole other level.

Mid 2nd is the absolute earliest I would take Bjorkstand and I think there are still better players around. Late 1st there are player who are much, much better. Hell, Nic Petan who has looked far more impressive every time I watch him is currently ranked just outside the 1st round.

It's hard to weigh in Oliver as he is playing on a STACKED Portland team, it can't be hard to put up points on a team that just keeps winning and winning.
As for players from Portland I like.. I have really liked Leipsic's speed and agility.. looks like Nashville has a Gem in him
And YES, I am aware that Leipsic is a small guy himself, but he also went late 3rd.

Him being the best Rookie in the W atm, is big.. But Leon Draisaitl aint far behind, and hes a draft class younger and on a much worse team.

Your right about that, but his father is really short and skinny.. Good for big ice, but not small ice.

So Bjork has been thru somewhat of a drought lately and has fallen to number 2 on the Rookie list after Lipsbergs.
Can someone tell me what line Bjork is on for the most part?
I found it funny that Lipsbergs is the second highest scorer on the Seattle team, with the top scorer only having 1 point more, but in Portland we have a few getting close to the 100 mark.
So is this a case of Lipsbergs getting top line responseabilities, and Bjork having to settle ?
I mean Bjork has 2 points less than the top scorer of Seattle but much less than a few guys in Portland.
