Jonas Hiller 2013 offseason

If the Ducks decide to go with Gibson next year, what would Hiller cost in the offseason?

Or would they rather start Gibson out in a tandem situation?

I don't think we plan on putting Gibson into either role next season. He'll most likely be heading to Norfolk.

I highly doubt Gibson takes over from day 1. A tandem is much more suited are more likely 2 years down the road not next year. However I wouldn't be shocked if he played his way onto the team next year either way.

This would be way too early to start putting Gibson in net.

Woah that's WAY to long he already has attended training camp this season. I see him doing backup work next season.

I am 100% sure that Gibson wont be rushed. Hiller is only in his early 30s and has been great for us.

That's an awfully big assumption seeing as how Fasth has played exactly 1 career NHL game. lol

no need to rush a tendy

look at markstrom in FLA. Their goaltending situation isnt any better than the ducks. Give him time in the minors and bring him up when he's ready.

we still have deslauriers in the minors that has quite a bit of NHL experience (although i dont remember how much longer he is signed for)

Andersen is more likely to be called up than JDD. He went missing after coughing up six goals a week ago. Bob and Andersen have been our starters since.

No chance Fasth is resigned this year?

I think they should ride Hiller and sign Fasth to 1 year contracts every year until Gibson is ready (Likely only 1 more season away)

He wants to start somewhere next year. So if he does decent, doesn't get an offer for a starting job, and Anderson/Bobkov aren't ready to be the backup then maybe.

He came here to start like Hiller did when he came here. No way he stays to be a backup.
