@RobMixer
No a.m. skate which likely means #CBJ lines aren't changing: 18-42-15, 71-19-22, 11-17-16, 9-10-40. Pairs the same, Mason starts in goal.

We've seen 2 consecutive games of pretty solid defense. I think it continues tonight, Toots and Nikitin continue to play better, and the Jackets remain competitive.
I wasn't able to watch the Chicago game, so what I've seen of Mason doesn't give me much confidence that competitive will be enough with him in goal. If he can play well, as in a respectable GAA, then I think the Jackets can pull this one out.
I'll go with an OTW. In classic Minnesota fashion, there will be at least one potentially game-costing phantom call against, but after Chicago all that does is get folks riled up for the win.

Thanks, Howson, for cleaning up MacLean's toxic waste. Welcome, Kekalainen; let's get good things built!
Not to be a pessimist, but I figure 5-2 loss. Mason gets eaten alive by the Parise/Heatly duo as they pounce on the massive number of rebounds he gives up.
I realize I've been down on the JACKETS LATELY.
Post-lock-out Anger.
That, and the fact that by late January we are usually in the tank.
I gotta keep reminding myself it's still October.
“@jrimercbj: Appears that Matt Calvert will not play tonight. Took part on early minutes of pre game skate but left early. Mackenzie draws in vs #Wild”
“@RobMixer: If Matt Calvert is the #CBJ player out of the lineup tonight, I'd look for Mark Letestu to move up. Possibly to the Dubinsky line.”
I think the Wild will be hungry for a win after their debacle in St. Louis. Only way that the Jackets win this one is if they are able to lock the game down into a defensive struggle.
The wild have had a hard time scoring outside of their first line. If we can shut them down, we have a much better chance.
