Seriously, the offense sucks. L. Schenn is the only player playing.

Yeah, no. It really wasn't. 1st period against the Pens was worst, all 3 against NJ, and 2 out of 3 to the Lightning.

Giroux needs to step his **** up. He looks completely lost out there.

B. Schenn has been very disappointing so far this season

Also, this team is terrible at face-offs

I've been thinking the same thing. I didn't think it was a good idea to give him the c this early on in his career. he hasn't even matured into the player that he's going to be yet and we already ironed the c on his Jersey. its too much too soon and now he's not even having any fun out there.

We always get off to rusty starts. I always reserve my opinion for the 2nd period / coke smash.

But the rangers are such a diffrent team without prust, anisimov, and dubinsky. And Henrik does not look all world like he normally does.

How are these guys saying that's a bad penalty for Rinaldo to take?

Clear as day dive.

Yawn.....sorry guys Flyers just dont have the personnel and Lavi will probably be canned although he is not all to blame. Pronger loss and inability to land a big name free agent like Weber or Suter just sealed their mediocrity at the best for this season. Thankfully it will be short and it's a good draft for D men....

Probably mean bad to put himself even in that position to get the penalty. But it was clearly a dive.

I swear, this board needs to collectively drink a beer and smoke a cigarette sometimes. That was far from bad. Outside of a lilja screw up, this game is tied.

He needs to get that anything he does after the whistle is going to be a penalty. Dive or not.

at the end of the day Lavi isnt going to escape the wraith of Snider..

its been brewing for awhile.

while i personaly dont want him gone, i would welcome a change to how this team plays...

the majority of penalties in this league are embellished, the trick is to not put yourself in the position to let someone draw a penalty from you. if you don't have to shove him, don't.

Absolutely agree! It was a horrible penalty, to be called anything other than a dive. It seems the officials can almost dictate who plays with horrid calls like that.

If anyone needs a laugh after that period, wander over to the main board and read the " ESPN Knows Hockey" thread. There is so much funny stuff in there!

Rinaldo is never going to get the benefit of the doubt. Right or wrong, the team refuses to acknowdlege that and wonder why he keeps getting called.

Meanwhile, everyone else better stay disciplined, or...you'll hurt the team or something.

G on the other hand only had 5:29 of ice time. Schenn, Couts, Read, Jake and Talbot all played more. Something has to be wrong.

L. Schenn play 9:21 to lead the team. I'm gonna go ahead and say i think he's been our best all around d-man the past several games and early in this one.

Neither can sestito...seriously watch some of his fights on YouTube. For such a big guy who plays that style he really sucks. Rinaldo is better all things considered.

I'm getting the MSG feed for the game on my live stream. Even Dave Maloney and Al Trautwig thought the Rinaldo penalty was a joke and acknowledged that a 6'6" man like Boyle shouldn't go down from a "nudge" like that. But they also pointed out Rinaldo's reputation and implied that he should know that he's not likely to get the benefit of many calls.

Maybe Giroux is carrying some sort of injury? Definitely noticed he had reduced ice time out there.

Similarly to Leighton, I'm not sure how Lilja has managed to get himself another chance. I know he has had a bit of a poor year so far, but wouldn't Manning not be a better option? Actually, I'm struggling to think how Foster, who has not looked good, is not selected ahead of Lilja. At least he has an (inaccurate) big shot and doesn't seem to be quite as much of a liability as Lilja.
