Maximum potential sentences for a charge and actual outcomes an be radically different. Then again, America is bats-in-the-belfry crazy in that regard, some places and some charges. Nomatter how slice it putting a kid in jail for hosting a party for teenagers with, gasp, booze, is crazy.
Distributing to minors? That's what College is about.
****ing Americans and their priorities. 18? Can't have a beer, but here's a gun!
Indeed. At 18 you can :
1. Join the army and shoot/kill people
2. Drive cars which, if driven irresponsibly, can easily cause the death or injury of people.
3. Vote for the president of the world's most powerful country
4. Own firearms
6. Have children
BUT don't you dare drink a 3%alc or something Miller Light!
Like I said, in Montreal people 17-18 go to clubs/bars 3-4 days in a row and it's considered having fun. For a college student who is a hockey prospect, party animal and disgusting!!! Sure, he's doing his thing and not going mature route but I'll worry about how he acts as a pro. Maybe he's getting it out of his system so he can move on afterwards.
