I refuse to allow the phrase 'easy' and 'tampa' to be used in the same sentence when it comes to the Flyers, except if you're saying that it would definitely be easy for Tampa to beat us inside 20 minutes.

I wouldn't sell talbot or Voracek.

Briere I'd do for a 1st and D prospect
Same with timonen
Knuble? a pick in the first 4 rounds
Fedotenko? future considerations

It's entirely possible that the Flyers expected too much too soon from their young players. Wouldn't be the first time. It's not right to overlook Hartnell's absence or Briere still working his way back into form, but they need more from Schenn and Couturier (and Voracek) if they're going to be close to the offensive team they were last year.

This team has no ****ing heart. I know it's a cliche thing to say, but beyond Simmonds and Bryz, I haven't seen anyone step up with a real drive to win. Especially not Giroux, who needs to lead this team by example.

Something needs to be changed. I don't know what it is, but this certainly isn't a result of injuries. Harts and mez don't add so much to the team that we'd overcome this.

Lavi's a hell of a coach, I've stood by that for 2 years now, but you've got to start believe the stories from last year coming out saying that his message is getting stale to the players.

I'm sick of being manhandled by the Rangers ever. damn. time. we play them. It's the same thing every time, we can't get the puck into the zone except for weak breakouts, and they come back with twice the force and efficiency. I'm sick of it, and if we can't adapt we shouldn't expect anything good out of this season.

They'd better ****ing turn it around in the 3rd period, because a 2-5 start this season is pretty much the equivalent of a 4-11 start any other season. That's awful.

At least he throws a body around from time to time. Jake has NO other redeeming traits. He cannot catch a pass. His shot is atrocious. He looks about 10 steps slower than last season and his puck control is garbage, which was one of his strong suits. We should ship him off to Dallas so he can team back up with Jagr because apparently he is nothing without him.

Voracek. Schenn's at least hitting people.

I agree nearly completely with one small exception - I don't see the Tampa game as extremely winnable. Possibly yes, extremely no.

It's simple the young guys aren't stepping up. This team took a huge gamble in hoping the rookies and players like Voracek step up and so far they have done nothing. Brayden Schenn is looking like the most overrated prospect in hockey.

Come on guys B. Schenn and Couturier not producing is not the problem at all. Jake, Simmonds and especially Giroux are the biggest problems. Hell besides L. Schenn, Bryz and Grosmann the whole team has disappointed. If we're pointing fingers it shouldn't be at the 2nd yr pros.

This team is awful. Sell Briere, Timonen and anything else of value that can be spared and stock up on picks. Hope for jones.

I think Homer tried pretty darn hard to get certain players, but it just did not work out unless he gave up some good young talent.. Its hard to predict crazy injuries, a long strike, payers getting hurt overseas,Horrible calls early on by refs, etc...Just gotta make due and make adjustments accordingly.Homer getting Grossman was HUGE last season in my opinion, some plans go well and some do not.

Man this offense sucks. No goals scorers. I'm so tired of people blaming the defense. It really isn't even that bad.

GKJ is right by the way. Historically he's been a great coach when he's had a good team that fits his system. Even has a Cup ring. Homer has been here for years and keeps getting break after break. Eventually he's gotta stop getting breaks and be held responsible. He's responsible for everything that's happened in his tenure. He hires the coaches and gets the players. He hasn't assembled a team that fits the system nor is it even good on paper.
