Knuble is a waste of space. Thought he came in to screen the goalie on the PP, and he doesn't even do that. He's a turnover waiting to happen, and hes slower than a turtle.

Here's an interesting stat I heard a little while ago, and tonight added to it:

Flyers have given up 20 goals thus far, Sean Couturier has been on the ice for 16 of them (and you can knock that down to 16/19 if you factor in Kovalchuk's penalty shot).

9 have been on the PK
5 on even strength
2 empty netters.

Take whatever info from that stat you like.

You're forgetting those pesky little NMCs both have attached to their contracts.

28% faceoff wins tonight. A part of the game that is weak.

He tried, and he failed. This organization does not tolerate failure.

Let's also not forget that three guys Holmgren (by default) unceremoniously excommunicated skated around with the Stanley Cup this past summer. Ed ain't blaming himself for that one.

Kimmo is in his last year. As long as the team being traded to is a contender, he'll waive it. Not sure about Briere though.

meh, we'll just buy him out at the end of the season. sure, that means we won't get anything for him, but at least he'll be gone

And you shouldn't blame him for that. Gagne looks lik half the player he was, Richards has regressed tremendously, and Carter was the most unclutch player ever until last year.

So if we suck bad draft Jones? If we don't get that high I wouldn't mind taking Nurse.

I'm of the opinion that Homer should be gone. Lavi has proven he has what it takes to win a Cup Homer hasn't. Like I said before the guy gets break after break and eventually he needs to be held responsible. Under his tenure we've gone through Richards, Carter, Gagne (all of which won the Cup afterwards), Pronger, and more under him with Briere and Timonen almost done as well. How long can you give the guy a chance for?

More passes have sailed off his stick without even slowing down than I think I've seen at any level of hockey.

Two of those players were leaders on the Flyers and couldn't fill that role. They were secondary players on that SC team playing in front of a goalie playing out of his mind.

Flyers need new direction. This system clearly isn't working.

giroux isn't even talking on the bench, just staring off into space wondering if they get another day off tomorrow

I said at the start of the season that putting Giroux as captain would not be good.

You DO NOT put your best offensive player as captain, more often than not it backfires. Giroux needs to be focused on scoring, not playing daddy as captain.

Why KIMMO was not made captain absolutely blows my mind.

A line of Talbot-Couturier-Knuble starts the third.
