Is this one of those games where the pens throw a hissy fit like little babies because they're down like they did against the flyers?

So what likely coaches are out there if, and that's probably a big if, DB gets canned anytime soon?

Why are they interviewing Strait, to show what a ****-up move Shero made?

lol at Potash interviewing Strait. The Pens must be in super-serious mode finally.

It certainty seems like Dan Bylsma is mashing the buttons on the control pad.

Malkin and Sid are playing so poorly that maybe the Pens should consider just putting them together full time to get them going. Malkin-Sid-Neal. Le the scrubs play with the other scrubs. At least we'll have one line that can score. Maybe.

This game isn't Fleury's fault, but 2 shots in that second period for the Islanders and he let both in. I'd take his 5 million and use it for a winger with Sid All day. He is no 5 million dollar goalie.

It amazes me this Power play can possibly look this bad. There is no imagination. It's the same thing over and over.

I think Bylsma may have to go this year. Something is off. They don't have the most talent in the league but they do have the 2 most talented players. this is unacceptable.

Shero has had Sid for 8 years and he still has Dupruis and Kunitz as his wingers. He continually drafts D and hasnt had a forward drafted make a signifigant impact.

At this rate, Potash is going to be on Geno's wing next game.

Probably not, they just cracked a few 1.75s of Jager in the back and are too inebriated to come back out for a quick interview.

I don't think I've ever seen Sid or Geno play this bad. Especially Sid who was always a worker. Now he just seems to be relying on his talent.

I also think the Michalek & Staal trades hurt us more than people think.

Jeffrey looks alright. Been wanting to see more of him for 2 years now.

About the only positive thing I have to say.

First goal by Fleury was brutal. Only one place that player can shoot the puck and he didn't take it away.

This is like the Winnipeg game but worse. Islanders, like the Jets, have their sticks in the appropriate lane before the Penguin players even know what they, themselves, are going to do with the puck. There's no plays on the wall. No plays in the middle of the ice. Every recipient has a defender within 5 feet. Nobody ever on the far wall in the zone, which is wide open.

Capuano did his job in the pregame scouting vids. Seems like the Penguins are abnormally susceptible against teams who do that. I thought the Senator game was an acceptible improvement, but this backslide is totally unacceptible. Time to start putting together dossiers on potential coaching changes, if Shero isn't already doing that.

are you kidding? of course they did. Staal >> Sutter (which is why the 'Canes included a top 10 pick and a mediocre prospect) and Michalek >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> the garbage they got for him.

That was a Shero & Bylsma move. Bylsma has way too much say in what players he's given which is why we have a bunch of grinders.

The Penguins mantra for the last 3 years

Disorganized, streaky powerplay.

Piss poor goaltending.

Two things made this game. The failure of the powerplay to gain any sort of momentum early on. Just a shot might have been something.

And then when the team does start to gather something together, Fleury decides to fall apart. I've never seen such a fragile goalie. The Islanders have been getting opportunities, but most of the time the Pens D is cleaning it up. Nothing was getting to Fleury. Christ.. probably a good thing too. Might be 8-0

Start Vokoun, and shake up the powerplay. Kunitz out. Letang out. Fleury out. Probably won't win, but these guys need a shake up.
