Are you aware that Kopitar is skating in a knee brace? Instead of having him suddenly change character just then, there's a simpler explanation.

I had to watch the clip to discover what Vancouver fans are calling a dive. TSN sure knows how to work the home audience.

Briere with a nice selljob in the dying seconds of the Rangers/Flyers game.

Hands clutching the face, on the ice one second...then the puck heads towards the net and he's right there crashing the net in the next.

"He's right there crashing the net"

You don't know how Briere plays, do you?

Prust is the biggest diver in the league. What a baby! Three obvious dives in one game. That's atrocious. Someone needs to kick his ass.

Nobody on the Jets was willing though. He will fight anyone.

Call on Prust was terrible. I mean, it was NIKOLAI ANTROPOV DOING TRAVELLING WITH PRUST.

Turned into it after turning to make sure Antropov was coming for him. I think "embellishment" might be a better word than diving.

Started last playoffs. We didn't like it either

The fact that he saw Antropov coming doesn't make hitting the Habs bench in the stomach any easier.

Seeing someone doesn't slow it down.

No it doesn't, but he deliberately turns his back on the player coming at him. If the call wasn't actually for diving but for doing that, I'm all for it. Hate when players turn into big hits like that and play the victim.

Having your stomach drilled into the Habs bench by Antropov would make any players catch your breath solid.

He got a penalty for "embellishing", not for "turning his back". I have no trouble believing he had trouble standing for a second; seeing the strength of the check.

Not saying the check was illegal. Saying he most likely did NOT "dived". You think someone should have a penalty for turning his back?

I think someone should get a penalty for deliberately showing their back to a player in order to draw a penalty, yes. I think if the league put that rule into place, the Prust play here would be the instructional DVD the league sends out to teams and referees on how to detect it.

Watch the video, he turns to make the pass back to the defenseman.

Prust turned his back there, no reason to do that if you are planning to take the hit.

Makes me think he wanted to draw a penalty

I watched the game. He knew exactly what he was doing. I think a diving call is wrong on the play, but I don't like what he did.

I don't consider that Prust play a dive. Embellishment at worst, but it's not like he feigned or exaggerated any contact. He just went limp and let the impact of the hit carry him to the ice. Tough penalty IMO.
