The way it's being talked about in here, if you didn't see it you'd think he'd been stretchered off the ice...

It couldnt look good since he went right off the ice but he didnt fall on his shoulder it looked like it popped out after being tugged on. We have no idea how bad it is but it could be ok. Lets wait and see

you watch what he does to his arm. you tell me that doesn't look intentional. he throws his entire weight into cally's chest while he pulls the arm away. i don't care what you "think" you saw them say(i could say the sky is falling, doesn't mean it's happening)-- what talbot did was NOT something that happens in a scrum or a fight. that was a very specific action with a pretty straightforward(potential) consequence.

and for those of you saying "OH HE LET UP, IT WAS CLEAN PLAY BRO"--the job was done. what point would there be to stay at it?

I'm happy I'm not the only one that thinks that was a chicken**** move by Talbot.

That said, I Eat Crow, RN believes it's a dislocated shoulder for Callahan. The way he was walking off the ice looks to me that the left shoulder was out of the socket. Fingers crossed that the trainers are able to pop it back into place and he missed only 2-4 weeks. Callahan is a tough SOB, if no surgery is required, I can see him back in a few days.

this. not trying to play doctor and not a doom and gloom guy, just something I've dealt with myself for four years. hoping for the best for cally but ive never been the same since, that being said I don't have my own surgeon and training staff

Talbot isn't a dirty player. You're making him sound like a hitman. Where are you getting this nonsense?

This is not accurate. Its not a 100% certainty.

A dislocation will often lead to laxity of the shoulder.. Even without tearing. This means recurrence of injury and dislocation in the future which can certainly lead to labrum injury down the line.

Again, let's not jump off the bridge yet.

Why is an injury suddenly a poll for how many weeks of MIA?
It's a bit silly. It's like guessing how long it'll take for the pizza to arrive.

Huh? Oh that;s right they were talking crap to each other the entire time. You sound ridiculous right now. Talbot is not a dirty player, he isn't. It turned into a fight. He was pushing and pulling on callahan just like a lot of fights go. This isn't Tie Domi spinning guys around. Players jerk each other for leverage. Colton Orr did it to Todd Fedoruk when he knocked him out. Cut the bs out. Talbot showed respect and that is that.

watched it for at least 5 minutes from multiple angles. i'm pretty confident that this is not a punch. i don't care if he's been a clean player his entire career-- this is a questionable move. he didn't just punch him in the shoulder, he grabbed his arm and threw his body against his chest as hard as he could.

a player doesn't have to be dirty to do something dirty-- there are plenty of dirty hits by clean players. i strongly believe this is one of those dirty moves, and honestly i can't see any logical way to think of this as a clean or 'accidental' play.

It's not questionable at all, IMO. Talbot did nothing wrong.

It was a fight, guys tug and pull on each other. It didn't look intentional at all.

I thought he dislocated his shoulder. If that's the case, how long does that take to recover from?
