at worst it will be like the Larocque situation all over again. This is part of Thornton's job description, he's the one Scott will dance with.

Looch has earned the right to defend his pride when he wants to. Would CJ prefer he sucked it up? Sure. We all should. Scott is a friggin mummy on skates. We're talking the real life Doug Glatt here. Lucic is a 30 goal man and one of the most coveted power forwards in the game. Not a good trade.

Why in a perfect world after Lucic and Scott go, Thornton or even Chara, make a point of making Vanek drop the gloves. They won't. But it would be HILARIOUS. And send a horrifying message to any 4th line goon looking to get Lucic off the ice.

"You take Lucic? Fine, someone from your top line has to pony up, too".
Good Post, Lucic has more than established he is a willing combatant. His role now in comparison to years 1 and a lesser degree 2 is far greater and his value is felt on the ice. He`ll drop them, he`ll just do so with more discipline.

There`s picking your spots like a jackwagon, going up against a completely out of his element player ala Neil picking Seids a few years back, and then there`s picking your spots, time of the game, is there a purpose for the scrap or is a player having liberties being taken with him that you feel need to be addressed etc....Looch seems to have matured and will not just drop them the minute a guy looks at him which is good.

Many of us were blessed to watch Neely`s game evolve like this too, more than established himself, and with that, didn`t have to scrap, although wasn`t at all afraid to do so when the time called for it.

If Lucic has to throw down with a stiff like Scott, I wan't to see Ott have the stones to drop the gloves with someone other than Campbell.

He's always seemed like a decent dude, is he a great scrapper or is he known more for his 70's porn stache? Is he a liability on the ice ala John Scott? I havent watched much of Parros at all.

He`s not as brutal as Scott, but IMO, another guy that other than his fists, plays an irrelevant role on the ice.

Were awfully spoiled here with the Marlot line, Parros, again strictly my opinion, couldn`t play in Thorty spot as an example, nowhere near the puck handling ability that ST has

Parros has good hands ala Thornton and is smart. His foot speed holds him back but he is a poor mans Thornton and probably worth close to that deal.

Yeah, but I also remember Cam having to swallow his pride a lot w/ guys like Basil Mcrae, Ewen, Foligno (watched #77 and two refs restrain Cam from trying to kill him between whistles once). Those guys were given the task of going out and getting him to blow his stack, get him off the ice for 5. Even if they took a beating doing it. Looch is going to have to deal w/ that. The B's have to make that strategy a losing proposition somehow.

I recall Quebec calling up some tough guy to get under Cam's skin, he destroyed the kid.

Have you bothered to youtube any of his fights? He's like a Shawn Thornton in the way that he doesn't back down. Whether he wins or loses he still throws em.

He's a very good fighter, and if you piss him off it amps him up even more. They tried to make him more if a scorer down in Prov the past 2 years which is a mistake. The guy was born to throw down, but he's no goon. He'll replace Thornton in due time.

I suggest you get familiar with his fights on youtube. There are some good ones on there. He's got problems balancing but in a few years time he's going to be good.

haha, recall that too, pretty sure Looch loses not one wink of sleep about anyone for the most part in this league, doesn`t mean he`d scrap anyone, but of those of which are in his "weight class", he`ll go with if necessary without hesitation

Montreal. Montreal. Montreal.

With a shortened season every game counts that much more. God I'd love to see the Bruins sweep those mother****ers just on general principles.

Buffalo #2.

Buffalo, like... maybe? If only because they might try and push a year old dispute involving their prima donna goaltender.

All of the rivalries should be more intense, but not because of their perceived added toughness, but because every team is playing 50+% of their total games against division rivals.

He can play an honest shift. He's not Shawn Thornton as a player IMO, but he can play...I think he has only been a minus once in his career, which is pretty good for a 4th line fighter...
