Hope this Jets team can wake up and show better efforts vs. Florida and Tampa Bay. What we displayed tonight is 100% unacceptable after seeing what this team is capable of. Just brutal.
I'm pretty sure we'll win in FLA and lose in TB.

I hate Montreal. Slowly closing in on the Leafs as my most hated team. What I would give to just blow them out in their own building...

Only 2 other East games were 3 pointers, could've been worse I suppose.

I've been trying to see more Jets Games this season. I hate to say it but Pavs does not strike me as an elite goalie

He isn't. He's an average goalie. Going by his stats last year, below average.

If those two stinkers didn't go in at the beginning of the game it'd look a lot different. What a ****** performance.

Agreed. Also note that there generally is a ton of homerism in the star selection.

Unmotivated and lazy. It's hard for me to blame Pavelec for this loss when the entire team didn't show up. Well, pick up our sticks and move on to the next one.

btw if I was a Canadiens fan at that game I'd be horribly embarrassed by the constant whining and crying. Jesus Christ.

Byfuglien was not good tonight. No effort whatsoever.

My guess (and its a COMPLETE guess, no facts) is that the guys were feeling good about themselves and decided to go out and celebrate last night.

I expect them to be much better tomorrow night.
The only good thing about this game is that it's humbling and will HOPEFULLY serve as an important reminder to not get too high later in the season.

Hainsey is so laid back, talks the game like a coach.

Not a bad showing for Postma. Didn't see much icetime, but he looked solid.

The only bright side for me is to see Ollie get on the board. I really want him to do well this year and stick around with the team for awhile.

The Jets always bring their B game to the Bell Centre. Always. At least the offense clicked a few more goals than I was expecting. The game was like watching two stacks of dominoes crash into each other, only less exciting.

The fact that the Habs were throwing the body around when they are so much smaller speaks to how there was no effort. Especially when Prust ran Pav and Hainsey just taps him with his stick. Gotta get in his face man!

Still gotta try boys, it's not just smooth sailing from here.

Right, but a team without huge amounts of offensive firepower needs stellar goaltending, not sure the Jets have it

I have talking about the horrible powerplay for a few games now. Something has to happen there. There is just no creativity or inspiration in that PP. Too many pucks bouncing off the sticks, Kane and Wheeler were the most guilty of that. Did Burmistrov get benched in the third after the penalty? I hope that was the case, else he was utterly invisible tonight in the third. Horrible horrible play in our zone, the boys took forever to get the puck out and when they did get it out to the neutral zone either tried to make a fancy rink wide pass or lost the battle along the board. There was no sustained pressure in the Montreal zone tonight. While Pavs played like crap we got lucky that Price had quite a crappy game too. That call which resulted in the 4th goal was horrible but we can't blame the game on reffing since we got our share of powerplays too.

^this

The fact that their tough guy (Prust) gets totally caught diving on the Antro hit is ridiculous. Shades of Carcillo *shudder*
