Last year, almost a year to the date.

Beat the Jets on SB Sunday, beat the Pens in a long SO, beat the Isles in the Pacioretty hat trick/Gomez finally scored game and demolished the Laffs on Sundin night.

I don't think changing Eller for Moen or Desharnais for White.. or whoever. Will make any difference to the first line. Like you said, you can't touch the other lines either.

Just leave them the lines as if. They will either end up working eventually or you can switch a player a shift here and there, like they did today with Cole and the Gallys.

Great game tonight! First off, Price was rock solid in the third. He was key in not blowing that 1 goal lead, those saves he made on deflections right in front of him were real tricky and that save on Jokinen was thing of beauty. Alexei Emelin was a beast tonight, he delivered some solid hits on Kane who's no slouch physically. What a snipe by Gallagher! He's growing on me a lot, so feisty. He's making himself a reputation as a pest and it's only his 4th NHL game I thought Eller was more involved tonight, finished his check and was in front screening the goalie a couple times. Cole is slowly getting his tempo back to what it was last season. I actually thought that Kaberle wasn't too bad tonight *gasp* He actually shot the puck on the PP and he didn't do anything stupid in his own zone. I liked Ryan White tonight, was solid on the PK and did the little things really well. Armstrong had another quiet solid game too. I forgot how important Gionta was to this team, he's not the most talented player but he always finds a way to get the job done and he's being drawing a lot of penalties lately. But oh my god what the **** was wrong with the refs First of all the call on Prust was just so moronic I don't even want to get started So getting nailed from behind is embellishing now, like WTF?! And I also found that the call was it on Markov or Galchenyuk, I forgot but the player clearly embellished in favor of getting a call. Final thing, way to get trolled by the refs: Jokinen clearly pushes the net off, ensuing faceoff goes and scores

Negatives: This team has to get better on faceoffs by the end of the season because it'll be a real weakness come playoff time. Teams will exploit that against us, especially on the PK. Tonight we got outclassed by them and it was the reason behind the 1st goal for Winnipeg, it's hard to get the puck out of the zone when the opposition has it and is not wasting possession. Another negative was Desharnais, what the hell is wrong with him this season... Is it because he's not getting soft minutes like last year? He's handling the puck like a hot potato and he's not showing his elite vision out there, he's just rushing everything. Also Moen took a dumb decision by accepting to fight Thornburn just after getting a 2-0 lead, it was pointless and in any shape of form except maybe a tremendous KO on Thornburn, would it do anything good for the team.

Last thing, it's crazy how much this team reminds me of the 2007-2008 Montreal Canadiens. Lethal PP, rookies showing great things (the Gallys; Sergei Kostitsyn and Andrei Kostitsyn), a crash and bang line (Lapierre-Latendresse-Kostopoulos; Moen-Armstrong-White), solid goaltending and Markov playing with a physical defenseman (Komisarek; Emelin).

I don't recall anyone saying that. More like to give Eller/Galchenyuk a bigger role.

Anyway, the size disparity between the two teams really was not apparent tonight. Habs were much more aggressive and physical despite the lack of size.

Price really struggled the first 40...3 goals on 10 and two he should have had, a 3rd that nearly went in late 1st...but he stopped all 11 including a couple deflections in the 3rd.

I agree on the Prust call...brutal. may have played it up a bit but it was a clear hit from behind. Winnipeg getting a PP on that is a joke...call on Armstrong was just as bad, led with the shoulder all the way, phantom elbow?

Don't forget goalies icing the puck at light-speed with their glove hand.

I guess that you can move Cole with the 2 Gally's.
Play Prust with DD and Armstrong ?
I don't know.
I'm as confused as DD , Cole and Eller

8 hits tonight and some were crushing. Guy is a beast.

On another hand, I'm not sure about the usage of our players. Outside Plek-Gio-Bourque, not one forward played 15minutes. Plek and Gio aren't the biggest guys, not sure they'll be able to sustain their pace all the way.
I think Eller's skills are being wasted completely, not that he's played great, but he is at least a very good PK player. You can use him there.
However, next game, I'd let Eller play center and DD go on the wing.

Pleks line is dominating on ES even if they aren't scoring.
