Not the point, I was answering to MOO, Zibanejad can skate with the puck and handle it

I agree, Regin does handle the puck pretty well. He knows when to delay, when to move, when to dish it.

Silfverberg will get more comfortable in the NHL, and from what I've seen of his SEL and Bingo highlights, he can manage the puck and create plays too.

That's because Alfie is tough and you are not.

If Zibanejad gets his shot on target then he's going to be a Mike Fisher who can score. That would be a tremendous value considering Mike Fisher was the Erik Condra of our Top 6 for years and years.

This. But when he drives the net he does it with authority. He almost scored on his own rebound by driving the net. Once he gets comfortable I expect Zibby to play a great 2 way physical game, while chipping in offense.

He really looked good tonight. He had lots of jump, went to the net, and created some chances. I don't have a problem with him taking some shots from long range, especially since he played most of the night on the fourth line. I think his game would change if was moved up to one of the scoring lines.

That said, I would like to see him use his size and speed more when he has the puck, taking the puck towards the net or deeper into the zone to create scoring chances.

Someone needs to sit him down and force him to watch clips of Todd Bertuzzi in his prime.

Once Zib learns the one hand on stick, lower the shoulder and drive to the net power move, he'll be amazing.

Are search for top liners is ongoing, greening was never a long term
Solution and if michalek is already there were probably better off using z elsewhere .

Am I the only one who thinks the way he skates and plays(Hunch back, kind of) limits his vision?

This.

I also think its bad if he gets hit skating like that he could get really hurt.

This is the 1st game I saw where I finally understood why he was chosen at #6.

hunchback skating? watch spezza. his back is basically horizontal when he skates. his "vision" seems fine.

zibanejad is a straight-line player who needs to draw a line to the net, and go there. his size and skill will eventually take care of the rest as he grows as a player.

I skate in a similar style, if anything I think it makes my on ice vision better.

Best part is he's still 19...and he looks to be gaining confidence, which is nice given all the concern over his concussion/flu/strep throat/farts

Also saw a lot of talk that Z doesn't have good hockey sense, from what i saw in his first 9 games last year i may have agreed. From what I saw tonight he doesn't lack hockey sense. Much better from what i saw from him last year, showed more confidence and tried to make things happen.

Pure example why I have high hopes for Zibanejad. Never in doubt. Never.

completely agree that his hockey sense is higher than we think. he showed good poise with the puck tonight, and moved the puck really well going up the ice.

even if he takes a lot of perimeter shots, i love that he's thinking goal.

That's hilarious ^

I think Zib was our best forward tonight in my mind.

That play where he drove the net on his backhand and tried to go high far side shows the raw talent this guy possesses. I can't wait to see him at 28 years old in the physical prime of his life.

Zibanejad looked much better than his stint last year. I'd like to see him play against someone not named Mike Green before I make a better judgement.
