his record against the NW will be a great benefit of selecting a high draft pick this year, due to all the division games

In those four years the Oilers have used Pat Quinn & Tom Renney. The avs have stayed with Sacco.

The plan was always for Renney to replace Quinn after the first year.

You should write a letter of apologie to Joe Sakic for that post, even if he doesn't visit this forum.

The question was has any coach had a span as bad as the Sacco and they mentioned the Oilers.

Worst coach in hockey employed by the most nepotistic and insular organization in hockey.

should have been fired last season and honestly that run by the Avs really screwed them over this year...

No system, structure, or balance. And we come out flat half the time.

Our roster isn't great, but its better than this

Avs should have no problems winning with this roster. After all, Avs fans have been telling us Leafs fans in trade proposals that the "only thing they need" is a top-pairing defenseman

If we had Landeskog, Downie & O'Reilly in the lineup we'd be a better team.

It is mind blowing how bad he is. I don't understand how management can continue to put up with his crap. Denver fans need to start putting bags on their head.

Crawford or Quinn would be an upgrade. I'd love to see Crawford as the avs coach.

Really? So the whole thing about the Avs not winning a game against the Canucks in regulation since 2009 isn't true?

Although I don't have a good feeling about tonights game.. The Canucks have absolutely dominated Colorado the last 3 or so seasons.

I'm a Canucks fan.

Sure a win is a win, but this whole thing about the Canucks dominating the Avs just wasn't true at least in those most recent games. We're in no position to be cocky in my books.

My bad.

Point being that this thread is about the record of Joe Sacco against NW opponents. Not whether they played hard or deserved to win but the record. Which at the end of the day is what the coaches get paid for. So the Canucks not losing in reg. to the avalanche in 4 years is something I feel is worth bragging about, as it won't last long.

The NW division mostly features at lot of big framed defenders who match up well against Colorado's small forward group.

Say what you want about Jay Bouwmeester but when he plays half the game and Giordano and Sarich play the other half, there's not much Matt Duchene's going to be able to do. Hence the Avs constantly getting crushed by a decidedly mediocre Flames team.
