How much money does Vancouver have left to spend assuming the Sedins both get somewhere around $3.0 million?
Using a self-imposed $42m cap, with the Sedin's at $3.0m each, the Canucks would have give or take around $7.0-$7.5m left to sign: 2x top-six right wingers, 1x top-four defenseman, 1x third line center/winger.
They should try to fill up that brutal bottom six. Upgrade it. The defence looks thin too. I bet Nonis will make another big trade. I think Mitchell is going to sign in Vancouver. That should help the backend.
