We should have traded Parise at the 2011 draft for Minnesota's First, and 2nd in 2013

we could have made off with Larsson and Baertschi

im just bitter that they called him up and I cant see him in Abbotsford

I'd be willing to trade Greene+ for a top line winger. I wouldn't have been a few weeks ago, but I feel the team would be better with a legit top line winger than with Greene. I like Greene, but we have a glutton of defensemen and are so paper thin on forwards. Still wouldn't trade Fayne though.

I don't claim to be an expert, but I highly doubt Greene could net us a "legit top line winger" unless you were to throw in Henrique and some picks.

For what it's worth, I'd like us to target Kopecky in Florida. He's a big body, plays with heart, can score a few goals. He'd strengthen our third line. I'd also love to have Ponikarovsky back. Size, grit, occasional goals. The two of them would make us exceedingly difficult to play against.

Stempniak would be an interesting choice, but there`s no way we`re getting Iginla. lol

I could definitely get on board with that, but no thanks. Love Kopec, always have, but one shouldn`t expect miracles out of him. He`s been a part of three Cup teams (DET, CHI) and won silver at the WCH, so yes, the experience is there too, but still. Also, like every FLA forward, he`s overpaid (two more years left on his contract). Tough to play against for sure though.

Would be fine with going after Poni , but then again, we should`ve signed him last offseason and we wouldn`t have this problem today.

I`d settle for a "borderline legit" winger. Would rather keep Greene though.

Tally or Volch would be the man out. Greene means more to us than both and is more valuable to us than anyone we would likely get back in return.

A month after puck drop, teams are closing in on what they need to improve and teams who are underachieving will make a move sooner rather then later cause you can't go on a major losing streak in this condense season, cause you'll be left on the outside looking in.

I think we'll see trades around the 10 game mark.

Thought about that yesterday when I made this post:

Replace TRADE with Kopecky or shift Josefson down, Elias to centre, and slide Hemsky in there.

Now I want Ryder. Ryder is a Lou type of move too but could be a costly one.

Acquiring Ryder would be a mistake right now. His value is at an all time high after his 2011 playoff and 2012 regular season. He's a one-dimensional 25 goal winger who would be nice to have, but would be too costly to acquire.

We could have two slovak pronunciations with Kopecky and Zidlicky

I'll bet any sum of money that Ryder will shoot at below 16.6% this season.

I'd rather see Tallinder go than Volch.

Sure Volch makes mistakes, but he's a beast physically, and for some reason, I just can't see the Devils without Volch being as scary defensivly as we would be with Tallinder.

Just my 2cents.

See I just don't see a huge difference in importance amongst any of our D-men. Especially amongst Fayne, Greene, Tally, Sal. I think these guys are highly interchangeable. Thus I have no problem trading any of em(obviously Sal ain't going no where).

Zid's might have the best case for staying put as his offensive/pp skills are big jump over the other guys in that dept. And Volch is prob the most expendable because his lack of O, but he prob nets us the least in return.

So whomever gets us the best winger in return I'm cool with it.

Volch is too important to the PK, Tally is very similar to Fayne, Greene, Larrson, and Harrold(to a lesser extent).

Plus we saw this D without Tally half last year and it got us to the finals.

Overall I've been a little disappointed in Volch's physicality. Is he really more intimidating then Sal? He's a tough player, don't get me wrong, but his play doesn't jump out the way I thought it would when we signed him.
