The guy just looks like he's a Bruins fan.

So that guy thinks it was a Devils fan (wearing not a piece of red clothing)?

And that means it was a Devils fan?

I was at the game, there were barely any Devils fans to begin with there, and none that were visible in that section. 99.9999% sure it was a Bruins fan.

Dude, your word is not as good as the words of LordStanley. He claims it was a Devil fan, you're obviously wrong.

I don't think people should be high or low on Josefson at this point. I feel like I can't even be sure what I've seen from him so far. Have patience with the kid.

The important thing is they re-did the play and as Steve and Chico pointed out, if you let the play stand they'll have people throwing things all the time in the future.

As far as the "Devils fan" ... lmao.

What is that - a spoke and wheel logo on your hat? I mean horns?

Nothing for nothing, there's been 3 major throwing incidents in recent memory that I recall.

1) The smoke bomb in Philly v. the Devils.
2) The Simmonds banana peel (Philly v. Red Wings, in Ont., Canada)
3) This, the Bruins/Devils shootout food toss.

Two are Devils, two are Philly, 1 is Boston (I'm going to stereotype, probably a Southie) and 1 is a crazy Canadian who doesn't claimed to not understand racism.

I'm sure there are others, but that's a disturbing trend of Devils and Flyers...

I was at the game and everyone knew it was a Bruins fan. All the Bruins fans around me were super pissed and kept yelling "You're not a real fan" and "Get out."

What incentive does a Devils' fan have to throw something during an attempt on the Devils goalie? How would that screw the B's?

And you know coming to the Devils board and claiming a Devils fan threw something - with no real evidence they're a Devils fan - is probably a terrible, really bad, no good idea, right?

If they want to assume it was a Jersey guy, **** it, I'll accuse the guy of being a Southie.

Both of those were away games for New Jersey.

Still involved the potential for Devils fans to be there. The fact that neither happened at NJ does prove a positive point though.

Oh, and I forgot about the waffle incident in Toronto! I think that was against the Sens though?

people always have to look at the negatives. Last night was a barometer game. Boston is the best in the east right now, and we hung in with them the whole way. Not only did we hang in there, we played OUR style of game. Aggressive forecheck, low scoring game. Held them to 1 goal over 65 minutes. They were the better team for most of the night, but we controlled the pace the whole way.

This.

Plus, we have Henrique who's out with a injury and we'll see a different roster come trade deadline day. The Bruins lineup is pretty much set in stone IMO cause I don't see where they can upgrade in all honesty but we, on the other hand, will most probably solidify our offense.

As I said right after the game ended, I think yesterday was a good sign. It demonstrated that the team has a serious weakness up front, but can compete with the best even without terrific forward depth. That will become less true as our top forwards wear down or go cold (which will eventually happen - Clarkson is not going to have a 40 goal season).

What we need is for Henrique to get healthy (will help a lot, presuming he can pick up where he left off) and to acquire (I think) two forwards who can play in 2nd/3rd line roles.

They should give that fan the 'cheaters justice' treatment from Casino

Bruins security: [takes fan to back room] "So we see you throw with your right hand, can you throw with both hands? "

Fan: "no"

Bruins security: "can you do it with your left hand?"

Fan: "well I never tried"

Bruins security: "so your a righty?"

Fan: "yea"

Bruins security: [hammers right hand] "well now yur gunna hafta learn to throw with your left hand"

2:30 in

Thought Volch was excellent last night. I still find it weird Tallinder only played 16 minutes.

They spent the majority of the 3rd period in our zone, I recall us having maybe 2 or 3 scoring chances on the period. I agree though, even with the upfront weakness we hung with them for the most part.
