And Getzlaf chokes on what would have been the gamewinner. Wow.

Big save, but Perry shot it directly into his pad. Niemi didn't even move.

CSN Cali does a better job with graphics than ours does.

Well, at the very least their fans will stop harping on about SJ blowing out every team they've faced.

we're seeing them in SJ on Feb. 5...to go into that game undefeated, we'll have to beat the Wild, Canucks, & Flames..and they'll have to beat the Oil, Preds, & Ducks.

All three being road games for the Hawks, and the first two home games for San Jose. Van/Cal is a back-to-back for Chicago. None for SJ. Man do they have a cupcake schedule.

Although SJ does play on the 4th, so they'll be going against the Hawks on the second night. Guess there is a b2b after all.

SJ, why can't they just lose a game? Really, now we can't afford to lose against the wild

Van is apparently still butthurt over Keith's elbow to sedin. That might make them get up for the game - but at the same time they're still injured and dealing w/ a goalie fiasco...so who knows?

I don't know why you guys care so much about San Jose. Who cares who the last undefeated team is.

I hope we meet them in the playoffs, they'll just choke it all away again anyway.

The only teams that really stick out in the west for me are us, San Jose and St. Louis. It's going to be a hard fought race.

Right now, those definitely look like the contenders in the West.

San Jose and St. Louis are two teams that just aren't falling behind.

If St. Louis didn't play us, they would still be undefeated. The same might have to happen with San Jose next week.

nope. what has he proved? he is on the same level as Del Zotto and he knew it as did his gm. his final year is at $3.75 mil, not a bad chunk of change...and that is a big deal as his qualifying amount will be higher for Montreal at $3.75mil instead of just averaging it out around $2.8 mil per season..Subban wins on his last year being worth $3.75 mil.

its a fair deal for Subban has been very inconsistent overall as a player.

I just dont see enough offense for St Louis to really hold the top spot, but they have solid depth and they have looked great so far. Shattenkirk is a stud. I guess the scary part is they are doing this without Backes even scoring yet...if he gets going maybe they will keep up their offense numbers.

I really don't think you guys should count out LA. They have had a bad start, but they are basically the same team that won it all last year.

they look like they did the beginning of last year. guys are underperforming early on, dont think Brown even has a goal yet. they are stacked again and will be in the mix no doubt, but we all know just how freaken hard it is to repeat in this league.

Not arguing with any of that, just saying, they have the best goalie, a lot of depth, and the experience to do it again.
