Speaking as someone over 25 finishing college... are you high? That would likely be the most annoying thing I could think of...

This has become the "Have you touched a girl?" thread.

Everyone who thinks hanging out with 18 year old girls is fun...no.

Like what? A damaged bank balance?

Funny thing is that if I do my level 4 of my accounting course the next step up is to do a degree at University. I'd stay at home though.

I was planning on going to Uni in London and would've stayed at home but didn't get the grades. By the time I finish level 4 I'll be 21 and 22 a few months after Uni starts. Would be looking for a flat of my own then.

I had a roommate that was 27 in college.

He was a normal guy, he had spent some time in the air force, which is why he was older.

As someone with 3 younger sisters in the 17-20 range, who has seen their friends and how they act on a regular basis... That would be pure torture.

Take advantage of your situation man, hang with them some night. Pizza, video games, beer, the usual college stuff man. I don't necessarily condone buying minors beer, but the laws in this country are ****ed up in that regard anyway and it's college, so **** it. Try to find as much common ground as possible. If they're pretty chill it shouldn't take long at all.

Not sure if serious. That's possibly the last thing I would have wanted as a 25 year old. 18-21 year old girls are ****ing crazy man, and usually NOT in the good ways. No offense to women on this, but they don't usually start to gain any semblance of sanity until at least 23 if not their mid 20s.

Nah, actually you can profit off the situation. When I turned 21 I was "that guy" in college. If one of my underclassmen friends who was under age asked me for some beer they'd usually give me a 10 spot and tell me to keep the change. Ended up getting about a case of Sam Adams or Sierra Nevada a week for myself just off the money they were letting me keep as a bonus for doing them a favor.

I went and chilled with a bunch of them last night. They're not as bad as I first thought. They can be annoyingly loud at times, but I found that generally happens when they're in groups. One on One most of the are cool.

As for the girls, the ones that came over last night were pretty chill, but there was only a couple. There were some that came over a few nights ago, and they were unbearable. I'm a guy whose been hooking up with girls ranging from their early twenties to early thirties, so teenage girls don't interest me at all.

Overall...as some have mentioned in this thread...it's getting better as time passes. The kids aren't terrible, just a little immature. I'm a bit immature for my age, so maybe it will work out well...haha

19-24 is not a huge age gap in the grand scheme of things..

though hanging out with older people you probably picked up their behaviors and in turn act older.

I just see a lot here on a regular basis that make me seriously wonder sometimes.

Is 11-16 not a huge age gap in the "grand schemes"?

I don't want any of your candy sir or a ride in your van, I'm just curious because I think 19-24 is a huge gap.

11-16 is phyiscal and mental maturity, mostly physical

19-24 is mostly just mental maturity.

Interested are more likely the same between 19 and 24 then they are between 11-16.

The women.

Granted, that will only damage the bank balance further. But it'll be well worth it.

And you can offset that by selling the beer at price-gouging profits.

The gap between 19 and 24 is much much larger than you think it is when you are between the ages of 18 and 23. I'm pretty sure most people on here that are now over 30 look back and said "man, were we all pretty stupid when we were in college".

its really all relative anyway..

I am 24 and my friends ages range from 17-38
I have friends who are late 20's and act like their still in high school and I have friends who are 18-early 20's who are very mature.. it really depends on the people you spend your time around.

Question to keep philosophers busy for a while.. Do I act like I'm 24? Id not what age do I act? what is the standard for a 24 year old?

I was acting like a **** back when this was written. It was a shock to me, and the first week was a tough adjustment, but once I got to know my roommates I learned to bond with them. I have to say my experience over the course of the past two years was amazing. I met some friends that I will keep in touch with for years to come. So many drunken memories and parties and pranks and games and smoke sessions and awesome convos. It's crazy to think I went from sounding like an old man in this thread to living in a frat house with a bunch of hooligans. Awesome hooligans may I add. I'm going to miss college, and a lot of the people I met there. A few of them I wrote about in the original post. Going away to college with a bunch of loud obnoxious youngsters has remained one of the best decisions of my life.

In the 90s? That age wasn't bad. Drunk hookups. Now? I'd want a consent form filled out first.

Nah still sucked in the 90s, there's a reason I preferred to date in the grad school crowd as much as possible. Not going to go all poli board but re: now I'm 100% with you on that, and I STILL wouldn't ****ing trust anyone.
