trade value wise

Duchene>Yandle

It's alot closer with O'reilly. I know i'm going to get jumped by fans who haven't watched O'reilly play, saying Yandle is better. But O'reilly is younger and I wouldn't trade him for Yandle because he could be a really important piece for the Avs future.

ROR's age is the only reason I'd even consider it.

Maybe add something to Yandle for Getzlaf.

No way they get Getzlaf.

ROR is probably the best bet.

Getzlaf is a pending UFA, would be awfully risk to move an asset like Yandle for a UFA to be.

Isles can do futures and not much else. Can't see them packaging Nielsen anywhere, and I doubt you guys would have any interest in Bailey until he proves himself(and if he does prove himself, I doubt the Isles would move him).

In a scenario where the Yotes are out of it at the deadline, would they consider moving him for futures? More specifically high-end futures that would be ready to go by the end of this year/start of next year?

Boston: Bergeron/Krejci/Seguin - Krejci would be the available one
Colorado: Stastny/Duchene/RoR - Any of them could probably be had depending on the +/- to the deal
Philly: Giroux/Schenn/Couturier - Schenns not enough, Giroux is untouchable, so maybe Courturier. Though I'm sure Philly fans would flat out refuse.
Carolina: Staal/Staal/Skinner - Skinner could maybe be acquired. Carolina could use a top D. Though I think he's mostly played wing at the NHL level.
SJ: Thornton/Pavelski/Couture - Pavelski's the only one I could see them moving
LA: Kopitar/Richards/Carter - They would probably want to move Carter out of those 3. Kopitar would be a no-deal.
I can't see the Kings trading Carter. He's the only legitimate goal scorer we've had in years.

I'm sure Dean Lombardi would love to get someone like Yandle, but I don't think he would want to create a hole in the top 6 to do it. He might offer something like Voynov + Loktionov, but I doubt that gets it done.

If at the draft the Isles are picking 3rd-6th overall, I'd be willing to talk.

I like Ryan O'Reilly. Love his two way play, and he seems like a perfect fit under Dave Tippett. Before his holdout he was well on his way to being a similar player to Mike Richards. He's the guy I'd want most if we absolutely have to trade Yandle. Who I, like you rt, want to stay with us forever.

RoR makes the most sense and most realistic out of all the current choices.

Avs would add a bit, but would be the basis of the deal.

Something like Niederreiter + Nielson for Yandle+ might make a good basis for a deal.

Would something of that ilk work for you?

Turn Nielsen into Nelson and I'll consider it. You could probably get other Isles fans to agree to that though, it's good value. I just love Frans. Such an important player and still relatively young.

Sign me up. I'm assuming you would want more, so I'll throw in Brock Nelson, you throw in a 2nd rounder to give us at least one of the first 60 picks and we are good to go.

You guys get two young potential top-3 or 6 players and we get our top-pairing PMD with a depth draft pick. Isles still have Strome and Nino and Reinhart and you guys still have your ridiculous defensive depth.

Now all that needs to happen is for the Isles to suck again...

Before Parise left I would have entertained a Zajac/Yandle deal, but his new contract and our terrible F depth make this no longer possible.

I thought Nielson and Nelson have almost exactly the same value; but I guess I don't know the Isle's roster as well as I thought.

If Colorado is going to be brought up,

Yandle for Stastny+
OEL is a starter for Duchene

They might actually have similar value, but Nelson's value is in his upside, size and offensive ability, while Nielsen's value is in everything else. He's an extremely important part of the Isles' rebuild and one of the few veteran leaders we have. As much as I like Nelson, I'd part with him over Nielsen 100/100 times if given the choice.
