Teams around the league very aware of Andrei Loktionov's availability. Currently not much interest in him out there.

League source who knows talent: Loktionov can definitely play in NHL, Kings depth at C is glass ceiling
Not sure the timing is right...

Any teams that are more interested and are willing to give him an NHL roster spot?

Anyway I wish him good luck wherever he might end up.

He's a small center. Most teams have plenty of those.

Just waive him. Nobody gets passed by the Islanders.

I don't think he'll get a fair shake at top 6 C on any team unless they are very desperate.

Send that package to Chicago. Isles have no need for a young goalie. Got two on our hands with Poulin and Nilsson.

Meh, he may have some talent, and he's not wrong that there's a glass ceiling above him. But nobodys gonna be barging down the door to trade for him either. He has some potential, but no more than the B-prospects on every other team out there.

No thanks.Bernier an expensive luxury and Loktionov not a good fit.

Isles need to add size, scoring and toughness to their top 6 and I don't see Loktionov as a bottom six player.

Moulson-JT-KO -Grabner-F Nielsen-Boyes. all 5'9-6'1.

Isles are hoping the 6'2- 6'3 forwards Nino, Nelson and Kabanov can step in, adding size, toughness.

I wish lokti well as a kings fan. He has the skill but we re just to deep at center. I would like to see him in the east perferably. He needs to be on a offensive line to be effective. I m not looking forward to seeing him become the next molson purcell boyle ect but the kid needs a legit shot to make a team which he doesnt have now.

As for what the kings would be looking for back a simlar wing or defenseman thats stuck behind alot of depth. maybe a pick 3rd + warm body back ( lesser know prospect)

So.. what has this kid done that's so special to make him think he can ask to be traded?

No thanks from the Leafs. Not the kind of attitude we want here.

He definately has some skill and because ofthat I think he would return the best value ot the kings if he is part of a package going somewhere.

He can be part of a package yes, but on his own I don't think he has much value.

It'd be like looking at a guy like Colborne on Toronto. Nobody is gonna barge down the door to get Colborne, but as part of a larger package, they may specifically ask that he be involved in it.

I don't blame him for going to LA's front office and asking. It just should not be in the media.

I could not agree more. Which is why I think putting a package together with him and bernier could be good.

In this case i dont think its him going to the media as much as its media going to management and getting confirmation on something pretty ovious to anyone paying attension to the kings lineup. The kid only wants a shot at the show and i dont blame him hes talented enuff just not enuff to get into the kings top 6

Could Carolina be making room for Loktionov by waiving Boychuk?

New Jersey and the Rangers should both be interested in Lokti. I think he'll have a ton of interest in the trade market right now.

I could see something like Bernier and Loktionov for Hjalmarsson.
