It would be nice if one of the beat writers would give us any kind of update on Hrivik.

He has an "upper-body" injury. The guy at Howlings just say that's it's "long term." Tough break for the kid, but not unexpected.
I reported it in this thread as it happened. The kid was slashed hard across the wrist. You can say he's injury-prone, but that would've knocked out any ironman.
What's this?! We don't need him. Total scrub. I don't watch the ECHL, so maybe I missed a late breakthrough in his development, but I highly doubt it.
Speaking of which, Stajcer is expected to start tonight in Greenville after Lieuwen was rocked for 6 goals on 27 shots. Stajcer has had a good run since Christmas and now has stats comparable to Lieuwen. I hope he does well tonight so that he could win the starting job in Greenville. He was barely starting and doing a poor job early in the season, but his stats have really improved recently and with it, he got more playing time. At the age of 21, if he shows a lot of rapid improvement, Stajcer could become a prospect again.
i really hope they trade Newbury. he has no NHL future and im sure some team would trade something if their AHL team needs help.. i mean Kolarik got good value in the trade with Penguins so far..

If I'm not mistaken Stajcer has always been really streaky. He needs to find consistency if he wants to be a legit prospect
Greenville tied with less than a second to go in the game, then won in the shoot out. Stajcer gave up 3 goals on 30 shots. Not terrific, but not bad. I don't think anyone saw this game, but it's not bad stat wise. A win with 3 goals in 65 minutes with .900 SV% is acceptable.
Miller playing 6 NHL games starts the clock on his SPC. Doyle also spoke to Schoenfeld about the future of the Rangers with Hartford. Check out Doyle's timeline.

Hasn't the "clock" already started since he's in the AHL this season (i.e. playing pro-hockey).

Since he's still 19 I think it slides even for this year. Same kind of situation that Anisimov had...his first year in the AHL slid because he was 18 when he signed his contract
Once you turn 20 then it stops doing that, as far as I can tell
McIlrath doesn't think fast enough the whole game. Great raw talents, but can't think to save a life.
Not good. Is this consistent every game or does he seem to think fine in some games and not at all in others?

Miller huh huh Genuine Draft with the goal.
Or Christian "my favorite" Thomas snipes it home.
Back to back belly to bel (Vomits) ugh I couldn't even finish typing that. Every bit as awful as Jeanerette from Buffalo

Guessing yet another concussion.

A couple of names that can be added via trade to the whale:
Luke Adam, has size, can skate, good shot. http://ntv.ca/on-the-mark-luke-adam/
Not exactly sure of the value here but something like a mid rd pick and Haley (Who wants out) could do it?
Kyle beach, big body, gritty, with some offensive skills.
Can be had for a late round pick.
See, I told you: they only selected him for the All Star game because they wanted to boost their first rounder. He is worse than at least half the Whale team. It is understandable because he is 19, but does not justify his selection as an All Star.
I wasnt "hating on" Miller (or Kreider), just reporting what I saw.
