Andrei Loktionov (LAK) officially asked to be traded
In this case i dont think its him going to the media as much as its media going to management and getting confirmation on something pretty ovious to anyone paying attension to the kings lineup.
That seems odd to me. Anyway, fragile center with great on ice vision and hands, always thought he was one of the best on the PP because of that. Not sure if he's a sure fire NHL player but as GM I would take a chance on it for a pick.
Luckily the Kings have Jarret Stoll's 9 goals in his last 140 games or so.

Well come on it was pretty ovious he was on his way out as early as the richards trade to me. The stoll resign cemented it.
Also i don't see him packaged with bernier unless he waits till the deadline. Bernier is to important and we really have no one in the system to back up quick .
If the flames trade him while agreeing to hang onto some of his cap hit then he is a steal. I know it is popular for people to hate on him on HF but he still adds alot.
With Greene out and Mitchell yet to return he would be more than welcome.
I hate seeing Bernier go without a goalie coming back, but you have to give to get. A move involving Bernier is more likely a deadline move anyway as someone else pointed out.

Thing is, the Flames don't need Bernier. We have enough good goalie prospects.
Sadly, Loktionov joins a nearly-infinite list of talented forwards who just lack some key dimension in their game to fully break through to the NHL. He's just a little too small and a little too slow and just a hair short on talent. Given an extended chance on a bad team, he might be able to stick... but hopes for a legit top-six role are dwindling.
If the Kings deal him, good luck to him. Can't blame a kid for wanting a chance.

I could see some Flames Fans saying that. I guess I don't hold Romo as high as those.
I think Calgary should plan for life without kipper, and this would lend itself to that.
If no deal is to be had, than no deal is to be had.

Ramo, Irving, Brossoit, Ortio. Not to mention Taylor and Brust in the AHL.

Brust use to be with the Kings he is not a future stater.
I could see Brossoit and Ortio being potential starters but IMHO (and I realize I maybe alone in this) if Ramo had starter skills he would have got the job in Tampa. Irving does not hold a tonne of value as evidence in his waiver placement earlier.
Best of luck with those tenders that is all I have to say.

Sometimes a player needs more time to develop, and I think that's the case with Ramo. He hasn't been in the NHL in four seasons, and from reports he's a different goaltender now than when he was in the NHL. He's now 26 years old, and we've seen goaltenders break out in their mid-20s (Howard, Mike Vernon, Kiprusoff, Niemi, Rinne, etc.).
