Last night's episode looked slapped together on short notice. Probably because it was.

We, as Canadians need to embrace ALL of our athletes. From skiers, to marathon runners, to soccer players, to mother****ing volleyball players. Come on, people. Yes, I want to watch Oil change as much as the rest of you. I bleed copper and blue. I always have.

Nevertheless, we have to start a little diversification . As CANADIANS. Even if you think soccer, or vollyball or baseball or cricket is a **** sport, if there is a Canadian team there, boys, come on. Watch it. Like it or hate it, support Canada. It's not like they are skipping over a HOCKEY GAME. Its a hockey related program.

I have been living over seas for the past 5 years. There is no hockey where I am. I starve for hockey all the time. But, I can see every single day, where I am, that whatever sport the country is involved in, the country is INVOLVED. I go to my fiances house and they are glued to the TV because there is a national running...a MARTHON. And he is on 35th place. But the whole family is glued to the TV.

I taught a guy ENglish for a year or so, and when asked "what shport do you like to watch?" he said HANDBALL. WTF is handball?? I hung out with the guy, watched handball, learned a ton, and discovered because it was the national team playing, the WHOLE COUNTRY GAVE A ****.

In Canada, I find, we only care about things we are inherently good at (Hockey, curling, lacrosse, baseball sometimes), but in other countries, especially the OLD countries, they care and SUPPORT nationals in ANY sport they are in.

Im not ragging on Canadians. Im ragging on all the *****ing in this thread. I suppose I ought not to, since its HF Oil, but I am. Hockey is #1. Personal preference comes second.

There is no reason why the next Ronaldo cant be Canadian, and spark a Gretzky-like interest in the sport of soccer. Or bowling, or running, or frisbee, or cricket, or dog-breeding, or baseball, or anything.

Support.

ps: Where I live, I rely on DLing Oil change, since I cant watch it on the Oilers website. Any links or advice would be appreciated ! Im dying to watch it.
No, only hockey. Other sports can screw off.

Is anyone going to tell us how it actually ends? So frustrating not being able to watch it were I am right now.

The Oilers beat the Canucks in a shootout helped by the amazing Chabot making all the shootout decisions. It ends with the players walking onto the ice for the SJ game. They don't talk about it though.

How the opening episode ends? As a prelude to the season opening game in Vancouver.

Even as a soccer fan that game was awful. Two teams trying very little other than not getting scored against. A deplorable contest, I stopped watching at the half. From the sounds of things it kept droning on. Did anybody manage to score in the shootout or is the game still going on?

Did they show Eberle, RNH, and Hall on the department store bikes from hell tooling around in OKC?

People were asking a question about what Whitney did. Anybody?

News at 11?

OKC gets one episode in 3mths, did they mention attendance, sounds about right.

i have always liked whitney but last night made me puke in my mouth a little. probably best for the masses if they cut that part out of every episode replay. there are team guys and there are ryan whitneys, im not mad, im disappointed.

Whitney yelled aimlessly on the bench during the outdoor rink game. And, oh, wait he, he was interviewed briefly with cliche hockey player responses!!

I think his relation to carrot top was also revealed. Yikes!

Gotta say one of my favorite part of last night's episode was seeing Nail's face as he stepped on the ice at Rexall for the first time. He looked like a kid totally taking the moment in. Also enjoyed the part that showed Rocky Thompson doing a lil song/dance in a pregame talk to the players. That was some funny shiat.

I watched it last night and didn't notice anything from Whitney...I will watch it again when i get a chance....it was something he yelled during the outdoor shinny game? Or something else?

It's starting to look like an "Oilers Video Blog" to me... like something that belongs on the website amongst the post-game interviews. 90% of it just very methodically steps through the events as they happen, only glancing at the surface of them. No revelations.

Personally I'd rather see a behind the scene look, or a personal angle with this show. I say cover the big moments, like the LA game, but keep showing the players and staff in ways we don't often see.

Awesome. Surprised they got it up so fast.... pleasant surprise. My PVR seemed to garble the first part of the show.

Just caught the ending now. Sportsnet did in fact, cut the ending out of the premier. Idiots.

S03E01 (not HD, if I can get it in HD I'll post again).

Multiupload:

Also, I watched/pvr'd it on sportsnet1 yesterday at 9pm est. It had the whole thing from start to finish. However, it looks like in the 2nd last segment or so, it cut-off during the bit about Fistric, went to commercial early .
I watched the missing bit (maybe a couple minutes) in the file I just uploaded though. Jones is pretty funny in that part.

I like that they barely showed game highlights this time. We all watch the games, no need to see it again

Well they only showed up to the first game of the season and there was so much to get into this show, so there wasn't much highlights to show anyway. We'll see how the next episode is like when they start playing more games. But I agree, I hope they focus less on game highlights and more on behind the scenes stuff.
